Who thinks these things up, Beef Flavour ffs!, when was the last time your kitty heaved a heiffer through the cat flap. Tuna?, so who's got an aquatic cat?

How about some flavours that actually represent things cats like to eat?

Sweet little songbird flavour,
Spider & fly,
half a field mouse,
"Oh yuck! what the hell is/was that" flavour.

And for dogs could we have a "contents of the cat litter tray" flavour.

Think of how meat is sourced. Cows and sheep are slaughtered by the thousand to feed us, so cats get some too. We don't really have industrialised blue tit abattoirs.

I did suggest to the R&D team at work to look into sausage flavour whiskers (I work for the company who own whiskers, pedigree and that). It didn't go down well.

Maybe it would go down better, if you put lard on it. Thumbs Up

Some months ago I found Pork Chop inside the chest cavity of a dead seal.

I would not wish that smell on anyone, especially in canned food form.

I suggest dog-food flavoured cat-food?..... My two cats are always mugging the poor dog for some of her dinner when she`s not looking.

They eat it any time we run out of cat food and don`t seem to mind a bit.

My hedgehog eats cat food. He doesn't like the stuff that has milk in it, it makes him VERY smelly. He gets chicken flavour.

Is it called Sonic? Thinking

I'm no expert but most of the adult mammals are lactose intolerant OR don't eat/like dairy/milk at all. We, the human race, are one of the few adult animals on this planet, that drinks/eats milk.

Unfortunately his name isn't that cool, he's called Rupert.

The flying squirrels are actually Sugar Gliders, I have marsupials! They're called Gizmo and Elsa (Niece named them, we took them after missus' sister couldn't look after them properly, I call them "animals")

Also have a lovebird - Hurley

Also have a cornsnake - Archibald

Also have 2 Golden Conures - "Birdies"

Edit to add!!

The Sugar Gliders eat cat food too! They get what we have in for the Hedgepig though. They have it for a mini boost of protein on top of all the fruit and veg.

It's suggested to put cat food out for hedgehogs if you get them in your garden, not fish flavours though.

We had one in the other night, first chog I've seen in years. I left him a plate of chicken cat food with a side helping of ferret biscuits. They'd all been yummed up by the morning. Possibly by rats, hopefully by hedgehog Smile

I've noticed most of the fishy ones come with added milk so he never gets that anyway. Chicken for everybody!

Few spuds and a heated pouch of Whiskers essence and a bit of gravy is my favourite.

Are you volunteering to taste the cat food and compare it to a sample dead mouse to check they have the same flavour?

All the best

They already employ a few hundred cats to do that at the Waltham center. It's an animal testing facility for food, so they know which recipes work best. One of the testing parameters is the effect on the animals fur, so they basically spend their time eating and being stroked.
