Any advice appreciated so been riding around past few days without a problem started bike up this morning for work let it get warm etc and turn choke off but have noticed when pulling out off a junction etc seems all my revs just drop and die but bike doesn't stall I'm thinking it's the cdi unit looking for anything else it might be sorry wall of text

Update : forgot to add that when it happens it feels like the choke is when you rev and just no power

Choke is not stuck on is it (when engine is warm) ?

Air filter clean(ish) ? If the air filter or intake is badly blocked it will "simulate" the effect of the choke (as that's really all it is, reduces air)

Might be worth whipping plug out to check its condition too.

I've had that happen a couple of times on my CG. It has usualy been indicative of a fuelling or carb issue. A quick clean of the carb usually sorts it out, takes less than half an hour.

Does it continue to happen after you've had the bike running about for a while and it's fully up to temperature?

It does seem odd to jump straight to CDI fault based on that information surely?

As above, it would make sense if the carb's main jet was partially blocked and the idle jet was fine, logical with you saying its idling fine/not stalling.

Thankfully on a lot of the CGs you can remove the float bowl from the carb and pull the jets in situ if you're careful.
In truth removing the carb on them is a simple task though.
