Hi Guys
I have a 2002 Bandit which i bought second hand. Just the other day i decide to change my handlebars for some renthals so I dismantled everything (levers and controls on both grips). So after i put the handlebars on and the new grips, i put in the key, turned on the bike (headlights, neutral light, oil light, speedo, etc all working fine) but the right hand grip controls or in other words the kill switch, starter button and the front brake light don't work at all. The nack brake light works fine by the way.

So I really don't know what to check for or what go replace. The fuses are fine btw.

I would really appreciate if you could give me some help. Thanks

1 check the kill switch is on go !

2 follow the wire from the Right hand switch and check it is plugged in

3 check the wires are on the front brake switch (it is on the bottom of the master cylinder )

I'm sure this sort of problem has been posted before, but in one case, the right-hand switch set should have been earthed through the handlebars, but the new handlebars were anodised or coated with something that made them non-conductive - so the switches that normally work by making a contact to earth, no longer worked.

Check you have a good earth between the handlebars and the battery / engine / frame earth, or if the switch set has a separate earth wire, it is also connected to earth.
