Howdy

had the zzr600 almost 2 years, insurance due for renewal in a few weeks so have been pondering on what to do. i could obviously keep the zzr but fancy a change. in my list of pros/cons, I've decided some luggage would be nice (not loads), still want a bit of poke in it and comfy. oh and as new as possible, or at least newer than the zzr (injection would be nice rather than carbs).

aiming at no more than 3k…. the list so far…

BMW 800GS
BMW ex police 1200RT

and thats about it Laughing I'm sure theres a lot more to look at. open for suggestions

cheers

Why not a F800ST? Just about in reach for your budget.
The S and ST seems to be the pick of the BMW models before you get to the 'RR' to me.

If you want to go off-road, go for a 950/990 KTM (a super enduro if you want to do off road properly Smile ). If you're not bothered by off road or just want occasional/gentle stuff - the S/ST seems a better choice.

Mmm, you're unlikely to get any of the 800GSes (800/"700"/"650") for 3K. S/ST, yes. Verify that they've had the rear axle/bearing recall done, and bring a bag to be sick in because damn, girl, they fugly.

3k buys a welcome suspension refresh and all the luggage you'll ever need for the zzr, no?
