Sinnis apache 125 (suzuki gs 125 engine)

Hello, yesterday i was riding my bike which is sinnis apache 125 pretty new ive done only 600km, i was climbing very steep hill and my engine overheated and lost power. The engine was very hot as soon as ive realised ive switched it off and let it cool, after some time ive turned it on the engine will start but cant idle needs abit of throttle to be running and will die if try to rev it above 2k rpm, the sparkplug was black ive cleaned it put it back but still the same. Its a suzuki gs 125 engine.. Any suggestions what the problem could be? Did i burned something? Many thanks in advance for help

Sounds like it's not been run in correctly,you may have cracked a piston ring or scratched the cylinder bore. Best get it compression tested.

If.......if you ve been messing with the fuel settings on bthe carb reset them to standard. New engines should be treated carefully for the first thousand miles,
