Evening! Feels like summer - picked up a tommy (edit..not Tommy, John)lee hooker with Santana vinyl today, listening to that in the sun...

Anyway, it's raining now and I still need a new jacket.... I'm waiting delivery of a k1 GSF 600 and my "cbt 60 notes from China" jacket is just over a year old, and a years communiting has knackered it. But seeing as I spent nearly 500 quid over on the bike I'm a little shy with cash I could budget around 150ish.

Basically I want protection, adjustable sercure amour. Styles too subjective, so really any advice on the engineering / levels of amour, stiching ect would be ace. See I never considered stiching my Cbt jacket has amour but it pretty much single stitched, the shoulder is bursting already so I'm well aware I don't want to be sliding anywhere on top quality eBay specials - it's not something I considered when looking for a cheap jacket after booking my cbt. So any suggestions on makes types amour anything else would be cool - rambled here init.. Pass the coffee.. Thumbs Up

Just bought the girl-fit version of that for the girlfriend. Back protector is light and flexible, plenty waterproof as first long trip had a nice stint of a downpour on the a1(m). Will probably go RST for textiles when my HG jacket gives up the ghost. My leathers are RST and i have never had any quality issues.

I really like the RST gear and highly recommend it. The gear I have seen and owned isn't over priced and is still lasting from when I got it so I can't complain.
Going to try some of their boots as my alpine stars aren't in the best shape right now.

I have this.

Served me very well, and seems to fit your brief. It's well put together! You can find it for <£150 online I'm sure.

For £184 you can have the jacket with the best protection ever - Furygan Titan:

https://www.fc-moto.de/epages/fcm.sf/sec1be8cd7842/?ObjectPath=/Shops/10207048/Products/Furygan-Titan-Textile-Jacket/SubProducts/Furygan-Titan-Textile-Jacket-0009

It is one of the few jackets that have level 2 CE certification abrassion/tear protection for the textile material and the stitching too.

Usually even expensive jackets try to scam you by selling you a jacket for which only the armor has CE protection. No matter how good they may be advertising double/triple/quadruple stitching they are not good if they can't pass the CE level 2 tear test do they?

Means they do not take any responsibility for the textile tear and your skin.

Means they may cost more than ebay chinese jackets, but in fact they are not better protection at all.
