So now I actually have a bike to tour on and my B&B is booked, I need to start thinking about prep for my little trip.

I`m going to use my textiles rather than my leathers, as when I go oop north, it always rains Smile
I`m putting some masking tape on the plastics of the bike to stop the soft panniers marking them.
Mini tool kit sorted.
Dry bags sorted.
Going to Maplins tomorrow to get the bits to wire in my sat-nav.

What things might I need that are sort of essential?

Im going on a trip around Scotland in a couple of weeks - what I'm doing/done is:

- Service the bike (needed new tyres & chain & sprockets too)
- Soft luggage & water proof covers
- Tool kit
- Money
- Credit card
- BREAKDOWN COVER (I upgraded my cover to bring me home if I breakdown rather than just ten miles away/to a local garage)
- Planned routes

I'm excited and I'm praying for sun!
