My last paint job cost 3.50 for a tin of "Rustins Matt Black for Wrought Iron and Wood" and 45p for a 1" moulting paintbrush.

Total of 3.95 and I can assure you the result was distinctly average.

Drop yer bike past, I'll do it for a couple of quid, I think there is still enough in the bottom of the tin, but the brush has gone a bit manky.

Depends on where, what colour, how much needs doing... hard to generalise.

Faired or unfaired?

One colour or lots?

You going to do the prep yourself or pay them?

Best to just call round a few local places and ask really. Thumbs Up

The paint alone for my Bandit cost £500, and I am about to spend £1000 getting my Virago redone.

go to your local night school and ask about bodywork courses, you can learn how to do it yourself while using their facilities. The last bike I sprayed cost about £60.00 in raw material (single colour, no masking) To do 2 colours with masking, about £100.

James spent £500 getting his entire bike resprayed and the plastics repaired (a fair bit of welding to be done there!).

That was one colour, but it was glittery and included stickers and they rebuilt all the missing nipples etc. Good job too.
