Hello there,

I'm trying to get my spokes clean and finding it really hard to get the flings off the chain, dark crud and general crap off the back wheel spokes. I can't reach between them but even the reachable bits are encrusted. Perhaps should use more WD, but what else so you use?

Any suggestions welcome, it is a 125cc that has to go and want it to be presentable before putting up.

Cheers,

It's easier with the wheel off the bike.

You can then blank off the wheel bearing area, give the crud a good soak in paraffin then take the wheel to a pressure washer and give it a good blast off at close range.

For truly shitty spokes, you sometimes need to resort to scotchbrite and paraffin.

I hadn't considered bothering getting the wheel off the bike as it is to sell but I will take that suggestion on board and just do it properly and just once.

Will go for Jizer (what a name, huh?) WD and a good jet spay. On a scale from 1 to shit I'd say they're a 5, but the bike is only 2 years old so might as well clean it well. I suppose it would look and sell easier... I certainly wouldn't buy a half cleaned one but I know nothing tbh.

Thanks, will try to get pre and post pics.
