You're also responsible for the demise of a product which could have saved millions of lives from riding in the rain.

The arrival of WiPEY managed to put some life back into [name retracted]® so it's not completely dead. Unlike the hundreds of millions of motorcyclists who've died in rain related circumstances. Laughing

I got all 6 bracket screws to bite directly into a steel lintel today minus any kind of rawlplug thus allowing the relatively easy
fitment of an expensive blind I've just bought for one of my houses. A task I was dreading to be honest, can be a right
pain in the tits fixing into catnic lintels. Thats the 4th and last one.

That sounds familiar. You can pretty much do chin-ups on the brackets for my blinds... if I wasn't old and fat and lazy Shifty

Today I rode my bike to work and then I rode it back home - I didn't mind the rain. Sometimes I just ride around on it for no reason. I think the only way life could be any better is if I was a test driver at a go-kart factory.

Today I have mostly been doing fuck all.

After my hospital appointment I (eventually) arrived at work to discover that part of my duties is to mind Reception at the training centre on Wednesdays, which basically entails letting people in and out, and answering the phone - but taking messages for the lady who doesn't work Wednesdays, or telling callers to ring back tomorrow when she does work.

Hard graft!
Not.

As I was not at my own actual desk, the list of things my manager had dreamed up for me to do was not exactly over-taxing and included four separate incidents of sending a ticket to I.T. to get things set up for my own new job Laughing

No sign of the Hot Prof as yet ... but its early days.

If you lend someone £20 and then never see that person again...

It was probably worth it.

It's very satisfying walking around the estate and seeing the hundreds of "for rectal use only" stickers that some very immature people have been decorating the area with. Mr. Green

Plus we haven't been caught by anyone yet which is an added bonus.

Had a little ride out after work to one of my favourite early-Essex villages: a frenetic rush-hour ride with the rain inches from my back and a very fresh wind* blowing me about a bit, an hour or two in some reasonably engaging company, a civilised G&T and a more relaxed ride home, still with the rain inches away.

Got inside without getting soaked.
Yay.

*That kind of wind which when you sing into it as you ride along, it whips the words right out of your mouth. The "its gonna rain any second now" kind of wind. Cool

Recently acquired car is bright metallic red and its given the resident Robin in my front garden the right hump. Laughing
It's been swooping at the car for most of the day and is now sitting in the bush above my kitchen window suspiciously
eyeing it as it's parked on the drive. I saw this behaviour once before when I was wearing a red t shirt whilst gardening
out front only that time it was me getting swooped at. Stupid bird, it's only a car, chill out. Laughing Has had me chuckling all
day, it's quite dark red chested so I think it's a male.

Further avian-related gear-oiling:

I spotted a blue tit in the underbranches of the buddleia "tree" in my front yard yesterday.
(yes I did have to google it to make sure what I had seen).

Although I am not a fan of buddleia, I decided I might let it stay there another year or so. I have to hack it back hard every year otherwise it really would take over (its currently about 8 feet high) and I refuse to let it take all the natural light out of my living room, no matter how many butterflies, bees or birds it attracts.

Ste is more than just a plain contributor. He created the NSFW on the BCF, or rather he was the reason why the NSFW tag was introduced to this forum.

Take your tongue out of his arse.

In other news, last night's sky is oiling my gears.
