Bagged me a promotion, which includes a fairly hefty pay increase.

Got rained on (briefly) on the way to the Ace last night.
Cooling.
Got rained on again (briefly) on my way over the Canning Town Flyover this morning.
Cooling.
Nearly dry by the time I got to both destinations.

Fabulous breeze almost all the way to work.

Cool

Oh yeah, and got chatted up by some fella who USED to have a Sportster very similar to mine, but not EVEN a four speed (which mine is).

He and his mate were reminiscing and drooling over it as soon as I rode it in.
He even apologised for being more interested in the bike than in me Laughing
(slightly damp bird in red lipstick and with big tits arrives, and the fella is more interested in the bike, of COURSE he is, wouldn't be a proper biker if he wasn't, haha)

So he has lots of spare parts that he might be kind enough to sell me.
If I'm really lucky he will put them on for me, too, LOL
Cool

Doing some unenthusiastic gardening and I dug up a, 100 year old, 1919 penny!

It's not worth anything, so I'm going to make it into a key ring.

I thought everything pink was about the poofters? The pink pound, and all that. So WTF is a pink tax, you low life. Get back here and tell me. *stamps foot grouchily*

Is a pink tax, like: charge women more cos they are women?
Cos I still don't get it.
I was gonna pay for the parts.
But maybe see if I could get away with paying for it , maybe with a bacon sarnie and a blowie. I dunno, does that still work, is it still valid currency or is it all about the bitcoin now? Laughing

Still, if not, I can prolly afford to pay for him to fit them and service the bike for me. Cool

In that order???? Shocked

Pink Tax. Another imagined way in which todays aggressive feminists believe they are being persecuted financially
purely because they are female.

Example - Pink disposable razors supposedly cost more than blue ones when they all shave the same. Rolling Eyes Apparently....

Well if they are all the same then just buy the blue fuckers and shave your growler with those instead FFS. Are feminists stupid?

Making pink plastic is genuinely more expensive than blue plastic.
Actually any plastic which uses Red as a portion of it's colouring is more expensive.
Although not necessarily expensive enough to justify the full price difference between pink and blue razors, which really comes down to how dumb the buyer is.

It's like the mythical wage gap difference which is really an earnings difference (different jobs/hour etc) as the law has been in place for many tears across all the western world ensuring their isn't a gender wage difference.

Look, whatever order you want, so long as my bike is serviced by the time I leave Laughing

Ok so I see now how the pink-blaming has gone from poofs to bints who are too fixated to just look slightly in a different place in the supermarket shelf to pay less for something.

1. Why are feminists shaving their growler anyway? I thought non-growler-shaving would go well with burning of one's bra.

2. Would it be considered bad manners for a house guest to use the host's beard oil to put on your growler if you're taking a little sabbatical from shaving it anyway?

That's 1st and 2nd wave feminism, which is pretty much universally agreed/encouraged by everyone for the last 30 years.

3rd (and 4th depending on how you define them) wave feminism would never consider burning a bra when it gives them so much ammo for complaint.
They have to pay so much for them... sexism
They can complain that men are looking at their bras (even when the guy would rather poke needles in his own eyes than look at her chest etc) and undressing them with their eyes, so they are clearly a sexist and should be overlooked for the promotion that should really go to 'this' woman...
etc etc.

Well, not necessarily, as he was explaining it to me, and I actually haven't really *grasped* ultra-modern feminism. I think because it seems so alien to me, they all seem so shouty and unpleasant, not really doing themselves as many favours as they think.

I just can't bear to read that hugely long feminism thread in the News forum, cos its so LONG, I asked for a precis once cos I had lost the plot.

It certainly does seem to me that modern ladies have got their knickers in more of a twist than absolutely necessary, god only knows how they are going to be able to back out of that when they need to Rolling Eyes (I still believe in the old adage that its a woman's perogative to change her mind.)

I didn't mind the whole Mrs Pankhurst/Dr Greer thing, raising awareness that ladies really did have a voice ... but once we got back to the argumentative stage, I just backed out and became deconstructed about the whole issue. I'm more docile than people realise, and often end up saying nothing or keeping [the remainder of] my opinion to myself. But I'm basically an idle cunt and am happy to let other ladies march about the place and wave banners on my behalf. Thanks, girls. Let me know when you need the lipservice and I'll apply it discreetly from behind the curtains of my private life.

I think that by the time I die, I shall be glad I lived in the era that I did, because it was all progressive at the start and we had advantages that we would never have had in an earlier era ... and by the time it got to being obnoxious/destructive to their cause, I was too old to give a shit.

Sledgeypoos: that was not an open offer Laughing

It seems to have moved from 'women deserve equality of opportunity' to 'women deserve equality outcome'.
So even if 10% of all politicians (or doctors or business people etc) are female, 50% of the senior roles should be female to reflect the countries gender split, irrespective of whether they're actually good enough to be in that position by merit.
The fact that women generally pick different career paths to men doesn't affect their argument.
Personally I'd rather have the best Engineers available design and build a bridge I drive over/under, rather than worry about whether their gender is reflective of the country... Or the best Doctors dealing with my medical issues etc

I think TSK was kidding about the mansplaining...
Wink

Spent some time in my Shed, cleared a few weeds, swept out the garage, re-organised my tools, fixed a broom and prepped my CBF for Monday..
