Had a nice day at the beach at Brean with the dog. She's had a cut foot recently and has been on light duties for
a week. Fun to see her splashing about playing fetch in the sea.

The only reason we broke camp at 8;30 this morning is because I needed a shit.

If you don't hear someone whispering, "Hey Virgil, here's one; y'all bring the rope?", you're probably ok.

Noise canceling headphones (Sony WH-1000XM3). Amazed they work.

HDD noise, PC fan noise... hum of a car engine... all gone. It doesn't filter out sharp wave noises, such as keyboard typing, knocking with objects on the table and so on, but it does filter out all the monotonous, continuous noises perfectly. The microphones on the headphons also allow for ambient noise to get through, on demand.

TL; DR: I can't believe this works. Cool, it's wireless and has 3.5mm jack on it as well.

EDIT: With a phone, I can set all sort of things and the headphones do remember all the settings, even the EQ, noise canceling settings..., even when not plugged to the phone in any way. All this works even when using the 3.5mm jack audio in, with the unit turned on (acting as a preamp), of course. Shocked

Hazelnuts.

Ideally I would've waited a bit longer but looks like the squirrels had made a headstart so I nabbed some.

Cool, I found some a few weeks ago but they were a bit green still.

If they're big enough you can pick them when they're still green.
Leave 'em on the side for a month or so and they'll be reet.

I'm going to coat them in chocolate...….I've forgotten the taste of choccy it's been that long (only a few weeks).

I don’t care if it’s not good for you or not.
I came home from training in the heat and quaffed an ice cold pint of orange fizzy , followed by an ice cold cider.
I don’t think either touched the sides on the way down, however I feel a lot better Thumbs Up .

Small things make me happy Thumbs Up

Woke early (week off work).
Did house stuff.

Spent the day in the studio(tiny tiny room) with the *aim of making another track but spent it listening to old stuff from the 80s-90s.
Rekindled some memories...not all of them wholesome. Thumbs Up

A week or more of being a non-smoker has passed. I haven't stabbed anyone in the face and I haven't gloated about it (until now).

*I have setup some equipment in readiness.

In fact we have to attend in tandem, as it is the old girl's 80th birthday.
And she's throwing a champagne lunch.
So really. I have to be there.

Its all about the champagne lunch. Jennifer and Anita be like champagne sluts.

It seems like the last week was just a blur.
I turned around and suddenly it was Friday again.
This week I have mostly been a happy hellkat.
