I just spent three weeks in the company of my mother and sister, and we're all still alive.
A noteworthy achievement in my personal history.
I really didn't think I would be able to manage it without at least one incident of homicide.

After being ill after eating out of date (one day) sandwiches , I’m feeling better.
Slept for 11 hours after eating practically nil for the last couple of days.
Drank cola and ate a few slices of dry toast whilst I was squiffy.

Today woke up rested and hungry, but best of all is my belly has stopped giving me pain . Thumbs Up

Pepperami is back to his old self Smile

I'm watching The Crown Series 3, which has finally come into the realm into which my memory still exists. I'm finding it really interesting, as half this stuff I never knew, possibly because of being so distant in NZ at the time, or whether I never really did much history at school, but it's got parts of history I never got to learn.

I did not know about Lord Mountbatten being involved in a potential coup ( Laughing what? Laughing *shocked disbelief* ) nor about the original start up reason of St Georges House, or about Princess Anne shagging Andrew Parker-Bowles.

Fascinating stuff.

I was in N.Z a couple of U.K general elections ago. Couldn't find anything about it in the Kiwi news. 30 seconds if that, from their "European correspondent". But they were wetting themselves over a royal visit. Half of each bulletin about Prince Harry visiting ffs.

Also, the Crown, not everything in it happened in the order shown, or happened at all. Mirror group leader, Cecil suggested an emergency government in May 68, not 67 so queeny wouldn't have rushed back from a horse farm tour, the Bank of England wasnt really involved and most Mountbatten biographies say that the conversation happened, and was killed off as treason at once by assembled guests. But, the drama would have you believe that queeny rushed home and quashed a coup.

Made some stew last week, then put leftovers from another meal into the left over stew, and forgot to put in fridge, 24hrs later o noticed the slow cooker was still on...
Best thing I ever made. If only I could remember what was in it...

Day 4 with the new dog.

Has managed to reduce her indoor speed to below 50mph (obviously the back garden is NSL with 10% leeway).
No mishaps for 2 of the days.
Dan (collie)hasn't attacked her today.
Pepper (collie)has been an excellent teething aide, maternal and patient.

Collie cross ( I suspect a staffy somewhere down the line got lucky)
May have a DNA test done.

4 months old. Bold as brass.

Got her from Manchester dogs home.

We think we may call her Ellie..Ellie the elephant on account of her barging around the place.

Hmm. Well we've had a working cocker crossed with collie so can confirm anything with spaniel is hyper.

What makes us think there may be a whiff of staffy is the way she locks on and her fearlessness and obviously very affectionate plus her beefy legs.
Not got the broad chest of a staffy though.

She's booked in for some meet n greets with other dogs and then onto proper training.

Suzuki cars.

The Vitara was meant to go in at the weekend to have a forced regen on the DPF.
Sadly they called up and cancelled, rebooked for today.

When I arrived they ran a diagnostic on the car, turns out the DPF thats fitted is an aftermarket one and is beyond regenerating. It's been the cause of random fault codes and it going in to limp mode.

The mechanic showed me the best aftermarket one to buy (as one from them is £900) and topped up the washer fluid for me.

Cost. £0.

He said as they couldnt do a regen there was no charge. So I popped back with a dozen Krispy Kreme doughnuts.

My dad is in his late seventies, he can't work on car engines cos he has a pace maker. He wouldn't understand a modern car.

Played car mechanic simulator with him on the xbox on an old motor, he told me what to do and I clicked the buttons. Had the engine out and taken to bits and parts swapped out as fast as I could go, I couldn't keep up with him.
