I'm not normally the clucky type, right.
I get kind of annoyed that I'm not a grandma yet (or even in the foreseeable) but in general, I'm just not all that worked up about anklebiters.

But today, there was the cutest little kid on the train home.
She was even howling.
But I pulled faces at her and she stared at me.
Did that poking your tongue out thing, then (once you have their attention), I did that holding your breath, puffing out your cheeks and crossing your eyes thing.
I got several smiles out of her.
Not done that for ages.

The other commuters (including her parents) pretended not to notice.

But I knew she was watching me
*peekaboo*

Played car mechanic simulator with him on the xbox on an old motor, he told me what to do and I clicked the buttons. Had the engine out and taken to bits and parts swapped out as fast as I could go, I couldn't keep up with him.

I need this with my old man.

Apparently I'm off on holiday to the Canaries for a week in February.
Happy days.

I like Stilton. It's really nice as-is and toasted.

I bought mine (same quantity) at £2.85 from Aldi, their normal price. That's a better price than Lidl at £3.49 (~same as Tesco normal price). Morrissonnss are selling an attractive-looking round weight 1kg (as is tesco), but at a higher price per unit weight.

There's a website called "mysupermarket" which would be more useful if it allowed searching across all supermarkets.

I like making stuffing for roast chooks using stilton and bacon, in the bread mix, with rosemary or oregano and citrusjuice.

It's really nice.
Better than sage and onion (which I often lace with grated cheddar anyway).

I ordered a wristband a week ago, it arrived today but I had been sent the wrong version. I fired off an email to customer services this evening thinking that I wasn't going to get a response until tomorrow and they replied back saying that they would stick the right one in the post first class tomorrow and I could keep the other to give away to a friend.

A+ customer service, will be buying more stuff from them in the future!

A nice red wine?

I actually fancy a nice port with my Stilton now.

I like a good Chilean merlot, not a fan of port.

Having 2 days off. I've got to go to work on friday, but at this time of the year I doubt I'll do anything elaborate. Then, I've got to go to work on the 23th and after that I'm free until the 2nd of January 2020. Dance!

Meeting customers, suppliers and friends over the last few days has oiled my gears.
In my spare time you'll know I've been making lots of metal art and decided that this year these people in my life will get one as a thank you. The feedback has been incredibly positive. A real feeling of friendship from those people - I think it's because I'm passing them something more personal and not just a crappy Xmas card.

Meeting up with Gary and Tom.

We all got to talk about what was pissing us off, what was working well and our plans for next week.

I'm inclined to try and make it a regular thing.

The diplomatic status of that woman is dubious. However, regardless of the outcome, the US is living in cloud cuckoo land if it thinks this matter will simply go away. Not a parking ticket, is it. Glad that a decision has been made to charge.
