Mrs T has done loads of training with our other dogs and with 1 exception all have been excellent. Dan is highly trained, also howls on command, did flyball, agility and often does my emails.
Tilly was similar.
Wenny the therapy dog knew the basics as does Pep. The only exception being Sweep who got barred from all classes for being disruptive.

We got Ellie for when Dan retires so here's hoping.

One day my dog will do what you want him to do, the next he won't.
That'll do me tbh.

Lidl free range turkey, 40 mins ago. £10 reduced trom £40.

Turkey crowns £2 from ~13.5.

The traditional time to buy your turkey always was Christmas Eve.

Going back to Sweep....she was a little welsh black bastard of a bitch and we miss her so. Wub

Cracked my emails open this morning and have another one of those 'sign into your lottery cos you have a prize' thingy messages. The last one I had was a lucky dip and I guessed it was another lucky dip I'd won.
Signed into the National Lottery website and it immediately took me to a strange page when I checked my account. Took me a few seconds to suss things but there it was - a larger number of money I'd won was written in the bottom left corner..
Xmas day delivered a final present to me before it ended..
£628. Not huge but not small. It's a 4x roll down thingy that started as a £140 win (4 numbers).

So, that's money I did not have. It's already wanting to put a hole in my pocket!
Cocaine and hookers? Wreck bike to rebuild? Extra towards a part-ex? Super thermite to pop some national grid gas pipes? My Scottish holiday?

Another lottery win. Was just another lucky dip. £30.
I remember in my old village there was a fella who would play bingo and he started having small 'rumblings' of wins there. He'd get a fiver, perhaps 100 and then he won £8k. The following week he won the national which was over £100k. (It never changed him - he never washed and still used orange baler twine as a belt)

Not just today, most days really.
We live in quite a rural location, set back from a, quiet, A road on a long straight.
Someone, I assume one of the local youths, has a 125 with a very loud exhaust, the person obviously has a job as they go past at the same times every day.
What oils my gears is that they wring the neck of that bike every single time, no matter what the weather's like, wide open throttle all way, most excellent, IMO.
Reminds me what it was like to be young!

I miss hugely overweight man on 50cc scooter that everyone used to overtake going into work...But...has been replaced by big-boned neighbour on tiny scooter who enters our road at speed and rides up the sloped kerb to his frontdoor and gets the front into some air. Top marks Karl.

Bedroom door planed down so now closes over the rug.
Set of shelves hung.
Good company.
Frets car serviced.
Epic sausage butty made from a giant pig in blanket cumberland whirl.

Today was a good day.

Another Christmas dinner on New Year's Day.

A piece of bacon (roasted with the turkey)
A sausage roll
Bread sauce
Broccoli
Brussels sprouts
Carrots
Cavolo nero
Cranberry sauce
Gravy (made from giblets & fat/juices)
Henney's cider
Nero d'Avola Terre Siciliane 2015
Roast butternut squash
Roast parsnip
Roast potato
Turkey

That was worth having.

Next dinner might be turkey with a curry sauce, pan-fried diced/sliced potato, plus various vegetables, probably boiled.
