Cool Weed Cool

Some random weed left by some random cunt that I might have shagged once or twice a while ago but who is not here now, and my living room is peacefully cool and calm.

* money in my pocket
* fresh sheets on the bed
* clean new clothes
* champagne, bacon and milk in the fridge
* roof over my head
* a few good chums

I've not lived this sort of life before.
I rather like it, just now.
This'll do for today.
Its more than a lot of people have got.

Today, I finally had a chance to test some of the repairs and maintenance I did recently, and I am happy with the results. 160km in the saddle. Smile

The inner pipe inside the left silencer got loose and ratly, my mate could weld it back in = works great, no ratling! Since i had the left silencer off, I could loosen up the wheel nut and adjust the chain tension.

I also noticed, a month ago, that the rear suspension system was not set correctly, the pre-load on the left was set higher than on the right. I couldn't move the adjuster with the standard methods (*cough punch and hammer) so I got a proper c-spanner from China and with that I could set the pre-load equally on both sides = amazing road feel!

I also fixed the fuel tank mounts, the tank is seated properly now.

I also flushed the carburetor, some debris/dirt came out = now there is no fuel starvation during constant high speed riding. Smooth delivery, as smooth as a single cylinder can be, with no hesitation. I went on the local highway (130 km/h limit) ran for more than half an hour at roughly that speed, no issues whatsoever.

I also fixed some dodgy turn signal connectors the previous owner put there = no more intermittent turn signal failure.

During the winter break, I'm gonna do some more cleaning, adjusting and repairing. I don't want to take it all apart now. The bike runs, the weather is perfect for me to have it locked in the garage in bits.

I enjoy riding again! Razz

Clumsy little bastards. Got quite a few little owls round here and I'm forever finding dead shrews and mice that they've dropped.

Well that explains a few things.

Lately we have been getting lots of dead rodents in the garden and being brought into the house by the cunts. Sorry cats.

They are both retarded and couldn’t catch a live mouse if I shoved it in their needy gobs.

The only thing I plan to do to it is fill it with fuel and ride it. Its quite nice actually, as I never paid my dues on the tiddlers when I got into biking. The one and only time I ever rode a 125 was when I did my cbt. After that I did das and bought a 750 triumph trident. I never cut my teeth on a small capacity machine. It feels right that I should spend some time on this little beast. Plus, I've not had a working two wheeler for a few years, so it's a nice reintroduction to bikes before getting the 100bhp duc up and running.

Rock solid. It does look bad in that photo mind, think it's the auto-colour adjust in the photos app making it look worse than it is.

I ordered a toilet seat on Amazon last week, but the idiots sent me completely the wrong item (a kitchen tap).

I know what you're thinking; this pillock meant to post this in the "gears ground" thread, didn't he? But...

I went back on Amazon to create a return, and clicked the appropriate button to get a refund due to 'wrong item supplied', and entered the description of what I'd received. I was instantly told "Thank you - no need to return the item; you will be refunded for the full cost you paid". Which is particularly interesting as it's a high-end tap, retailing on Amazon for £190. As it happens, for historical reasons I have an Amazon seller's account, so after a few weeks once I'm 100% sure of no possible comeback, I'm going to add my deets to that Amazon listing as an alternative supplier, for a bargain £150, say.

Oh and I reordered the toilet seat and that arrived next day Thumbs Up

It's called a swingarm, but mine never swung. It'd seized solid because the bearing was shot and it'd been bolted so tight to hide the play it was in effect a hard tail. Passed MOT though Thinking

One day it was so windy I was blown onto the opposite side of a corner, then almost lost it trying to recover the situation only then the swingarm decided then would be the most appropriate time to unstuck itself Laughing which made matters worse. Never once dropped it though. It only ever let me down once, on the day I bought it, 1981 bike back in 2001 ish.

My middle'un getting 3 'Distinction Stars' in his BTEC, which is as good as it is possible to get.

He can now stick a big middle finger up to all those who said a BTEC is for people who are too thick for A Levels, and that he'd never get enough UCAS points for university doing it that way. He has 3 conditional offers and enough points to enable him to choose any of the three.

F*ck you, you supercilious wankers!!!

I've always thought BTEC was a far better choice than A levels, but it's always been looked down upon as a path for people who dont want to go to university, or want to go into the trades. I did A levels for a year, failed them all (because I was a lazy cunt) and then went to college and passed with a DDM score (I was still lazy unfortunately) which allowed me to pick the university I wanted. The best part is you actually get to do a subject you like for a few years instead of being forced to pick random shit like Geography just to get the grade. It was fun watching all the A level students in university try to learn all the stuff I'd already been taught in college Laughing

I found some lime jelly with fruit in it and cream on top, at our work canteen.
Like trifle but without the cakey bits.
Cool
