Nope. I'd sooner shove one into Steph, and she's a man.

This was his wood working kit

Hands now smell of sheds and old dusty tools

Nobody can really be that cheerful, that smiley and grin that much and a) Have any level of intelligence and b) Not have some dark secret like she secretly tortures small animals in her basement that she calls her 'fun palace'.

Remember kids, bikes aren't like lego. You can't easily take a part from one bike and then fit it to another.

Looking someone squarely in the eye and replying, truthfully, "No I don't have a mortgage, I own that house! Oh and neither the car or those bikes aren't on finance either!" then watching their fuzzy little brain explode.

The guy was trying to boast bout buying a 15 year old DB7... on finance (personal loan). Laughing

Good? You're serious aren't you. The AMERICA! (fuck yeah!) routine from end to end got on my tits. And I hate it when non
yanks in movies put on yank accents. Not many can do it well at all, only exception I can think of is Tom Hardy in 'The Revenant'
a movie which incidentally makes tosh like 'Olympus' and 'London' look like they were made for people with learning difficulties.

Turned what should have been a six mile commute into an adventure and got lost in the process.

Half way home and there's a diversion. It's night and I'm slightly tempted to just go round and be a hooligan but in that split second fear I'll end up twenty feet under ground sleeping with a gas pipe because there's a large part of the road missing that I failed to spot, there's not.

So anyway we goes on this diversion, me and now you since I'm story telling here, and eventually the road diversion signs and so do all the other cars I'd been using as markers since we're all going the same way. Turns out all me maties knew side roads and I didn't so of I went on my own. Eventually turned up in area I'd been once before, googles think it's 2 miles away from where I turned of but lord knows I was lost for a life time, and see a sign and realise where I am. I almost run some drunks over crossing the road and give them the zhaust and make my way towards familiar ground.

Throw some night time filter into the mix and we're away and home only ten minutes latter than usual. Can't say I'm a fan of filtering downhill with a heavy load on the rear and the rear brake not doing as much as you'd like, oh well we're committed now so how many wing mirrors can we collect? I got zero, surprisingly given I was half asleep.

Got the hoon on during the dual carriageway, no not NSL..40, and felt like Rossi on the roundabout with me bikes new trainers. Take it easy they said.. first one hundred miles, even more so on a bigger bike they said.. looks lad it bloody sunny and I'm a off, sound.

So yeah, now it's all over. Many sadness.

Well, I almost dropped the bike outside the hide and then some tard from some doors down, old woman with family, decides to rub against the front of the bike because she doesn't want to walk on the mud. Look luv you've just watched me pull up and I'm piratically about to get on the thing and get it out the way, instead she bounces towards the mud and stumbles on. Not sure if twelve year old liked the bike or wanted to fight, had a hoodie on and stared a lot so I'm going with the latter.

S'all good fun. Can't say I'll be wanting to do diversions in pitch darkness anytime soon. Just go the other way next time.

Met a family walking their dog, as I was riding my Beta on a byway, and they were very nice and we had a chat. True story.

Not something you'd be admitting to, if it was balliffs asking the questions though! Wink

Hour out on each bike

Still not sure about the Enfield but had a grin on my face on the scoot

Scoot also attracts the mentalists that ask every question under the sun

I didn't know they still made them ,I had one in 1827 etc

Brakes are now better than at any point I can remember.
I knew they'd degenerated somewhat, not anywhere near to dangerous levels but certainly less effective although more than M.O.T. passable.
They'll take a little getting used to.

Arrived back in Cyprus last night after 14 weeks away. The 22 year old RAV4 and 12 year old Smart Roadster have both been parked up all winter.

Both started on first turn of the key. No battery charger required.

Yay!

Brrrap............ Cool

I read there's just enough underseat storage for a sporran in the latest Scots Magazine review, that'll be it then.

Got an insurance settlement figure at long last for my written off van. They were even going to send a recovery truck to the repairers garage today to collect it....only it's already been repaired and I'll have it back good as new tomorrow. (We didn't mention that to the insurers).

They didn't even quibble when I told them I wanted the van back. Mates garage too, so no storage charges. I might even have enough money left to reinsure it later this year when they want to dry bum me on renewal.

It was going to cost £3,200 for all new parts, we got everything from mates breakers yard contacts (all genuine VW bits) for just over a grand. Headlights and bumper were the only things we had to buy new.

gave myself a crew cut for the first time, rather than going to barbers and then keeping it short / bald with soap and razors.

clippers cost £12.50 on Amazon

Had a really enjoyable walk with the dog today, she was a little angel. When we got home she had her lunch,
I had mine then the two of us crashed out on the sofa in the kitchen for a couple of hours.
