Went to see "Grandad" today.
He doesn't really know who we are, but it was good to connect with my sister-in-law (whilst Grandad drooled on his shirt) to have a right girlie nag and bitch about her brother (my ex) ____________________ Not nearly as interesting in real life. |

No oil on my gears - just grit (
Saw the onchologist a couple of days ago.
Lung cancer as epithelial mesothelioma ---- asbestosis is the common name.
Not curable. Chemo may help slow things later but only maybe and not a lot
12-18 months is typical
SHIT !

Asbestosis, as in breathing in asbestos fibers? How and where, if I may ask?
Sorry to hear that, I lost a few friends and my granny to cancer, well they were heavy smokers (they got either throat or lung cancer), so it was kind of expected, but not guaranteed. ____________________ '87 Honda XBR 500, '96 Kawasaki ZX7R P1, '90 Honda CB-1, '88 Kawasaki GPz550, MZ 150 ETZ

That's a bit arse, Snodders.
Really sorry to hear that.
If only they knew back then what asbestos was going to do to people! ____________________ Not nearly as interesting in real life. |

Things are never this simple though. Today we're still trying to figgure out wether using vast amounts of vitamin C is benefitial to us or not. Just a few years back scientist started to question ''anti-oxidants'' in food and found out ''anti-oxidants'' should not be ''consumed'' by cancer patients, as these ''anti-oxidants'' ''help'' the growth of tumors.
To use something you might see every single day. It was only not that long ago we found out that exhaust gasses of diesel powered vehicles contain particles so small, that the moment you inhale them, they go straight into your blood stream and not even a surgical grade face mask can stop them. To stay within the diesel is bad for you, there is a proven corelation between the frequent public transport users (diesel busses) and cancer of the respitorial system. Frequent waiting for the bus is going to kill you, I suppose.
The last one about diesel, it was proven, that being exposed to diesel exhaust gases (and you are if you live in a city) slowly causes infertility of the population.
EDIT: Why people use bicycles to commute in the traffic bussy cities again?
The influence of radio waves of all sorts (WiFi, Bluetooth, Tv, FM/AM Radio...) on human health was still not found. We just do not know yet, if it causes any health issues to us.
And this list could go on,... ____________________ '87 Honda XBR 500, '96 Kawasaki ZX7R P1, '90 Honda CB-1, '88 Kawasaki GPz550, MZ 150 ETZ

Culinary success today, with BBQ beans. Tried Jamie Oliver's version, but thought it had too many competing flavours in it, so I left most of them out and used my mum's own BBQ sauce recipe that she gave me years ago. Worked a treat. And yes, it has had that effect ____________________ Chickenystripgeezer's Biking Life (Latest update 19/10/18) Belgium, France, Italy, Austria tour 2016 Picos de Europa, Pyrenees and French Alps tour 2017 Scotland Trip 1, now with BONUS FEATURE edit, 5/10/19, on page 2 Scotland Trip 2 Luxembourg, Black Forest, Switzerland, Vosges Trip 2017

Found a £5 note inside a bag of Walkers Ready Salted Crisps.
There was a clue. It said £5 inside this pack on the front in gold?
But who believes that shit!

Filtering to the front of traffic lights next to a 17 plate £80k+ mercedes that decided his manhood had been threatened by my actions so booted it from the lights on amber.
I gave him the head start as I'm not daft enough to pull out on amber at this particular roundabout.
Only to (obviously) fly past him 2 seconds later without breaking a sweat.
its the simple things.
(The greatest part was that although he continued the "chase" after Id reached my cruising speed, he got cut up by a slow overtaking artic just after I went past it.)
Never saw him again. ____________________ 1993 RF400R - 2002 Bandit 1200 - 2012 1250 FA |

"pup" he is a year and a month old now, is scared of.......
Cherry Pepsi Max bottles.
He likes empty plastic bottles, he likes to chew the lid off, rip the label up and then scrunch the empty bottle up. I guess there was a tiny bit of cherry pepsi left in the bottle, as he backed away from it and started barking at it. I became his hero when I put the nasty bottle in the recycling bin. I tried him again next day, same result, he runs away from the bottle, growling at it.. Yet, will happily rip up a regular coke or pepsi bottle. |
