Ages ago I bought tickets to see blink 182 at the O2 and I thought it was tonight. I decided to be organised and print out the tickets yesterday which turned out to be an excellent idea because I had, in fact, bought tickets for the 19th.

Went, it was good, much fun was had! Now I want tickets for Queens of the Stone Age but its sold out.

Got in the van today to be greeted by "Diesel filter overloaded - please consult instruction manual" when I switched on,
after the aggravation I had with the DPF on the Sprinter I thought "Here we go again, more bloody expense".
Ran an errand to drop a few power tools off to a mate who lives the other side of Bristol and flogged it all the
way there on the A4174 in 3rd gear at 70mph bouncing off the limiter. Evil or Very Mad Light went off before I got to his place,
regen complete. Thumbs Up Thank fook for that! I'm taking it on holiday in a couple of weeks and could do without trying
to get it in to a mechanic before I go.

Update.
It seems he loved the MT07 so much he's just gone and bought himself a five year old GSR750.

This evening I have been asked to be my friends best man at his wedding, an unexpected honour which I gladly accepted...
The wedding will be at the Sandals resort in Antigua. Sun It will be the 3rd time I've been best man in my life.
Perhaps I'm not that much of a bellend after all. Laughing Roll on 2019, I've not visited the Carribean yet. I know
the resort is in the news at the moment for closing for an unexpected refurb but that should all be in the past
by the time the wedding gets here and the resort will have had it's makeover by then.

Well not today - but in the last dowsing of sun that we had(too busy to post these days), heading for a shortcut down a bus(taxi, bicycle, motorbike) lane, when the car in front decided after coming off the roundabout that he also wanted to save time and not queue on the congested dc...took the bus route. Cue police car leaving the rugby football club 50 yards away, cue car stopping and driving onto pavement to evade police, cue police noticing a rev bomb...and investigate said b'end. That made my week that did.

Had lunch with the mad Russian Wub in Borough Market, v. nice.
Meant to go to work straight after that but decided it was more worth my while to drop her at home (Ladbroke Grove) so we could have a right old nag (long overdue)
Ended up staying for coffee, another hour
A totally satisfactory girlie afternoon that I have been craving for months, before she heads back off to Cyprus.

Started work rather later than anticipated.
Prepared to bite the bullet and work v. hard all evening, but :
* Got a job from Notting Hill to [waaaaaay out in] the Cotswolds two chatty American moms and two anklebiters. Still : #nicepay Cool

* Got rid of them, bought some freshly cooked fish and chips in Chipping Norton, watched the sunset from a hilltop

* Got another job from Oxford back into the West End. #icing on the cake Cool Cool

* Did that one, got another one from Harley Street to Ruislip.
Going home time, kerching! Mr. Green Thumbs Up

Some weeks it would take me three days to earn that sort of money Rolling Eyes

Today I got a new pb on a 13 mile run, and a new pb on the steep bridge section, and when I got in there was a letter from HMRC tax refund.

I'm between jobs again, but also debt free again. 😀

Usually the famous ones don't. The Famous Thx1138 will not make himself known to me! Except I will already know its you, cos you are on my Book of Faces, you nuttor Laughing

A mate had Martine McCutcheon in his car, and he sent us a picture of himself with her. I'd be WAY TOO SHY to ask for a picture, how do people have that much cheek? The Mad Russian Wub has a picture of herself with Boris Johnson, ffs. (not as a client, I hasten to add Shocked )

I'd couldn't bring myself to be that embarrassing! I'd only have pix like that if the famouspeep suggested it themselves, Hey Jen, you're a nice girl, would you like a pic of us together for posterity? ... and its fairly unlikely they'd do that.

Its alright though, Thx1138, I'll let you have your picture taken with me Cool

I helped a friend by towing his Freelander back to his house in Hitchin from where it broke down in Stevenage.
When we got to his, I noticed a screw protruding from my offside rear tyre so off I went to the nearest tyre place.
Seems my good deed was rewarded by the tyre not having a puncture.
Oiled.

Finding out about this guy when we were in Anglesey last week.

https://ic.pics.livejournal.com/bizarrevictoria/62054556/47317/47317_600.jpg

Meet Henry the 5th Marquess of Anglesey, also known as Toppy, born 1875. He spent almost the entire family fortune to buy outlandish outfits, jewellery and furs, and to throw extravagant parties and stage flamboyant theatrical performances.

The rest he just wasted...... Wink *

He died aged 30, broke with £50 million of debt and leaving everyone still wondering if he was gay.Thinking

A role model. Live wildly and excessively and die young in debt, leaving them all guessing.

*nod to Georgie Best

Took the Enfield around the cul-de-sac for a quick post-fettle test, put it back in the garage. Couldn't find some of my keys, retraced my steps, was looking in and around in the garage for them.

Neighbour came over to check that I wasn't burglarising the place.

I like living in suburbia.

Keys were left in the side panel. Embarassed

Watching the dog chasing and being chased by 3 swifts in a paddock who were flying at about knee height.
Inter species playtime. Heartwarming. Oh and finding out the suspiciously cheap North Face Sangro HyVent Jacket
I recently bought new with tags from ebay for 50 quid is indeed the real deal as it pissed down for about 50% of todays
3 hour dog walk and I was as dry as a bone. I thought it may be a fake but now I know it's genuine I suspect
the jacket may have been shoplifted instead. Who spends north of a £100 quid on a mac then sells it on for half
that because it doesn't fit?? Meh, I don't know that for sure, and I didn't nick it. Laughing
