A lad at work just approached me and said he wanted to buy my bike ...

My bike. My shed. Why? Oiled.

Talking to an agency driver in work today about bikes. He then hands me the keys to his ZZR1400.

Seriously fast in a straight line. Comfort to the point of luxurious (in bike terms). Handles like a barge in a sea of half set custard though.

Gears very oiled. Best lunch break I've ever taken.

I just got planning permission for my wifes poledance studio in the back yard. Was expecting a knockback although
my deliberate choice to call it an 'ethnic dance studio'may have had a bearing on it being granted.
My LA is Lib Dem so I was playing to my audience Laughing I will be on the phone to the builder tomorrow.

I got stopped by the police, they were going to write me up for a non endorsable offence, but they went tearing off with blue lights and sirens on urgent business, shouting the words just get it fixed as they left.

Already have wireless cctv equipment to put in there so she can review her routines. May need some help with getting
it to speak to my laptop/smart TV when the time comes.

This.

And, what was it they were writing you up for that you needed to get fixed?

yeah plate on Beta dirt bike too small.

100% legal ones keep shattering, going to put a bigger plate on.

To be fair, they were okayish about it, they thought I was a kid on a nicked bike.

My fixed term was up on the startup mortgage we were on (just started jobs so shite interest rates ...)

We could have maintained the length of mortgage remaining, 27 years and reduce payments by 150 quid. - NOPE

Remortgage, because of the work done, we have about 50 k equity - NOPE

Get on dat reduction of term yo - chose to slightly up our current repayments by £50 (more than easily affordable) and now its just 19 years left!!!

I'm very blessed to have been able to pay my mortgage off years ago, when I was in my 30s. Ever since, i've been a bit of a slacker though Embarassed

I didn't get my mortgage until I was 26, missus at 28. We were still uni bashing.

There is a man in my back passage banging my back door in Shocked

My number one chaperone let him in and approved his performance before leaving for work himself.

The man is small and with quite a saucy Italian accent, but he seems to be doing a good job.

At least I'll be able to close and lock it now Cool Thumbs Up

Whack money onto it whenever you get the opportunity to reduce the balance.

My brother in law in Sydney started out paying off the mortgage on their first house, by putting all his spare money into it and paying it off early.

He now has a portfolio of something like 20 properties in NZ and Australia, and has set himself a policy of having five year mortgages on the properties he buys, then pushing all the rent into them so that it gets paid off ASAP.

Its taken him twenty years or so, but he's fucking minted now; his plan is to retire early (at just over 50 years old) to a house they just bought in a really cool rural part of NZ, so he can spend the day fishing Cool Thumbs Up

Mind you, he's the sort who never really retires ... he'll always be buying Just One More Property Laughing
