Apparently the frost thing is a myth. Freezing does rupture them but you can freeze them at home after picking to achieve this.

Overheard part of a conversation at work that went like this;
'Yeah, so it turns out my knee is fucked, I'm gonna need an artificial replacement.'
To which the reply was, 'Oh, so your gonna get a plastic leg then?'

The look on the first guy's face was priceless, it kept coming back to me and made me chuckle all day.

Not specifically today, but ever since getting rid of the Bridgestone car tyres that were on my van when I bought it
and swapping them out for Continental Vancontact tyres, it has been like driving a different vehicle. Just need to buy a
5th one for the spare now.

I saw a middle aged German chap trying to learn how to pop wheelies on a mountain bike today.

He looked really sheepish as we passed each other, and then I gave him a thumbs up and he gave a massive grin.

That helped my enjoyment of today.

Was having a major freak-out about a turning-point dental appointment (front teeth treatment).

But the appointment was over before I even had time to panic.

Cool

Picked up the guitar today for the first time in a few months (again Rolling Eyes ), and happily lost a couple of hours messing around with Rory Gallagher and Led Zep tunes Smile Fuck, I'm rusty! (and so were the strings Rolling Eyes Nice new set on there now Smile ).

I have an idea... Shocked
I thought I'd learn a bit more about the DADGAD tuning, and see if I could apply it to rock on the electric guitar - don't think anyone has made a successful attempt at this before...unless maybe you know different Question

Meeting up with a mate I have not seen in years, within 5 minutes those years had dissapeared and it was 2010 again.

The sad part was leaving the pub and realising it's 2017.

Mrs grr just bought me dinner. Bad luck for her as it was the first food I'd had all day. Went here - Pomegranate
I had a starter of meatballs, then a spag bol. I also ate half the wifes chicken and pepperoni pizza. washed down with
a couple of bottles of Bath Ales 'Gem'. I am now quite immobilised by food and ale. Lovely. Wasted

Fixed a small niggle on the bike: Mr Shop Man had changed the position of the adjustable levers and not told me, excellent.

J.F.K records are online. Should give me something to do for five minutes.

I fixed my parent's old microwave owen. All it took to get it working properly again was to clean it. I'm amazed how well this thing was build. It's maybe 18 years old and every bit is serviceable and well marked, with no rivets! There was quite a lot of dust in it, so the potentiometers and some buttons were not working. I only vacuumed the thing, used a electronics parts cleaner and it's as good as new. Even cleaned the digital display and it's cover, the brightness of the display is now mesmerising. Thumbs Up
