built a gate for a guy down the road to help stop the scrotes nicking his bike
turned out rather nice with decking boards and nice wide gate to help with getting in and out with the bike
Haven't built anything for a while so really pleased with the end result

Had a bit of fun with a new BMW M140i.

Was coming home from a group ride at reasonable speed when a car caught me up, fairly surprised I thought I'd overtake the car in front and leave the car behind for dust. To my surprise it followed and kept up, pushing close behind. I took a corner a bit quick, not really knowing the road or being able to see anything I let it go ahead where I could follow it's bright lights.

Even then it left me behind.

I was very impressed, even though I wasn't pushing my bike because I'm scared of it leaning out the car ahead was being driven like it was stolen, cornering fast, overtaking everything.

Today I did learn that if you travel over an 'unscheduled dismount' grade pothole at 1XXmph, your suspension can't
react quickly enough for your wheels to drop into it and you fly over it without a ripple instead of falling off and
breaking your back. Thumbs Up Handy as I had no way to avoid said pothole at 1XXmph. Obviously, bearing in mind the other
possible outcome here, my gears are feeling oily.

8 miles of filtering every morning. I want to paint, "Get a bike!" on my rucksack but no, that would spoil it.

Handed notice in at current job yesterday (and savoured the panic it caused), woke up today feeling properly happy.

New job is a massive pay rise, less work and much higher position.

Gears super oiled.

Well, I managed to get my shower working again albeit by tracing the fault down to the second heat setting
which we have it on all the time. Works fine on the first setting so that's bought me a few days grace. Replacement heater
can is £63 quid, so have just ordered whole new shower for £74.99. I'll use the riser rail I already have on the wall
and I have a Grohe rubber hose on the current one which I'll be switching over to the new one too. I have
electric showers in other properties, so it's always handy to have spares. Water and cable entry points are the
same as the one we have on the wall and the new one is slightly larger than the old meaning it will hide where
the old screws held it on. Pretty happy with that, I'll have to make a slight change to the pipework, but that's a
flippin doddle. Gears oiled.

No, why do you think that?
I just meant that the last time I changed tyres, the front didn't really need changing.
I only bought new front and rear to have matching PR3s.
My rear is squaring a bit, not too bad at the moment but the front is fine.
