Must be like coming up for air out of a cess pit.

Self: using the word "demophobic" to describe a system of government that's totally in favour of implementing the will of the people in principle, but...

Laughing I'll get round to everyone else, hold on to your cake tins Laughing

Next time I plan to head down that way I shall alert you. It was kind of a last-minute decision based on the fact that I realised I wouldn't be able to be present on her actual birthday so I went on the weekend instead.

I'll try to give more notice next time, but I am a bit of an off-the-cuff sorta girl.

Eventful commutes:

Arrow Almost hit kerb with wheel of bike after a moment of twatness at junction, of which including putting foot down on zed kerb and a wobble; followed by a coach getting in the way of my drive out a nice bend.
Arrow Two men having a fight on a main carriageway; followed by a car jumping from left lane in front of me and stomping on brakes to get a look.
Arrow Couple of tailgaters rubbing my rear tyre and getting nowhere when I let them past.
Arrow Fights birds than don't like rev bombs.
Arrow Almost colliding into car on a small, but tight, bend after he attempted to drive straight from a single lane into a turn lane and across the road, from behind the car in front of him obscuring his view, but stopped in time; as well as I(ish).

Felt like I was in London for the day.

If I die because someone didn't eat, or drink, all day please erect statue in memory; I r sad.

They look to me like Lockheed calipers, which were always popular for bikes of that era. AP Lockheed:

After seeing that someone was in the other thread complaining about paying two energy providers - this made me appreciate the fact that despite buying my house in August 2017 United Utilities have not sorted themselves out, and we are still not paying for any water!

It's about 7 years since I rode a proper bike, and about 2 years since the last time I rode a bike, which was a 125. Embarassed

Felt invincible once again though, apart from my textile jacket seems to have shrunk in that time Embarassed

Got into work today only to be told that the practice manager is leaving ... at the end of the month.

So despite being "the temp typist" I got called into the boss's office, and questions were asked as to my interest in working longer hours/on a more permanent basis...

All that remains now is for them to agree I am worth my asking price, which I won't tell them, until I hear what job they are offering and for how much.

If the price is right, I *may* even give up the taxiing. Although I'd probably pay [whatever it is every three years] to keep holding a current PCO licence ... just in case.
