I was knocking off this blond chick in Majorca when on holiday there with my mum (I was 15/16ish)

It got a bit awkward then my Mum and her Dad told us they were going to carry on 'seeing' each other when we went home.

Bad things do happen Laughing

Nice. We get Goldfinches in regular, 6 or 7 adults, plus the young have been popping in. Had a thrush today too, first time since about March.

The cooler temperature and a little rain that have arrived here tonight. It's not that I haven't appreciated the summer we've been having, but I managed to shave two minutes off the time I do my walk in, and still didn't come in dripping with sweat Smile

Swings and roundabouts. I thought winter up here was never going to end, although it was more to do with not being able to have the heating on much and having a couple of health issues to deal with. Guess I'm still a soft southerner at heart Laughing

P.S. Gave you some "Cool Thumbs Up ". Hope it helps Smile

I was wondering just today if/why we haven't surpassed the Summer of '76 yet. No hosepipe ban, anyway.

I think reservoirs were drying up all over the country back then? We've had warnings of imminent hose pipe bans here, but hasn't actually been declared yet.

Yeah, but why. Was the preceding Winter relatively rain free, or do we manage water stocks better these days. I'd be surprised if it's the latter.

Dunno. We had very little rain up here through May too. Just my luck I'm too skint this year to make the most of it on the bike.
