I'm going up to Eskdale for a week at the end of September. Probably not on a motorcycle this time though. I'm hoping to get a lift up there and take my bicycle, to try and cycle from Eskdale to Ambleside via Hardknott Hurt

You do see quite a few cyclists on the Hardknott Pass. Most of them walking beside their bikes though Laughing

That might just be a wise choice though. They probably know Nobby and Ste live there Razz Laughing

Pffft, Trowbridge is much classier than Weston or Bristol. Razz

Deploying 'RicOsound'. Bit from each pickup goes to a separate amplifier.

It's the reason why I haven't eaten....and I love me grub.

Coal arrived today, 2 x 1 tonne pallets via the Pall-Ex network, on an 18-tonner with a nice big tail-lift. I was all prepared to help push the pallet truck, even with a hangover & fresh out of bed.

But no.

The delivery driver unloaded and sauntered along the road with the pallet truck, fag going in one hand, pallet truck handle in the other hand.

Mr Casual.

It was an electric pallet truck. I had not seem one before. Amazing!

What will they think of next?

Office manager gave me Monday off.
I don't mind if I do... Cool

Truth of it is, she's all anxious that I won't use up all my holidays by the end of the "annual leave year" (end of March) so she's trying to get me to take them on days when its less busy.

I only had to work half an hour later to get all the work done I was worried about leaving not-done on Monday anyway.

I reviewed a podcast back in June after they asked for people to do a nice write up if listeners liked it. I submitted it at the time, didn't think anything of it. Now my name and review is on The Guardian website apparently...

I only just realised that Joseph Conrad's "The Secret Agent" is a black comedy. Laughing

I normally struggle to get through his books, cos they are just seem a bit wordy and dry to me. I never finished Catch 22 for similar reasons. However, the dramatised version of Secret Agent on BBC Radio 4 Extra is okay.

Six weeks ago, in Debenhams, Hanley, I drew a large cock and balls in the dust on a coffee table in the furniture department.

Went back today, it's still there!

Trouble is there's a lot of people at the BBC you don't want to listen to your songs. Wink

Not bovvered who listens, have no illusions of grandeur but would love to get some airplay albeit just regionally.

Just you n me talking yeah?

I want my music to be discovered sometime after my death and become a cult ...a great big cult....followed by cult lovers who know a cult when they see one.

Cogs currently lubricated... (OMG I'm inventive/creative and funny. FFS!!! I can't take any more) ....by a seller of a guitar who is willing to detour so I can have a strum and maybe buy it.
