The additional 6 points on my license has resulted in a net reduction on my fully comp bike insurance to £150.66. I even cl:icked the box to say that I was likely to carry pillions this time.

Just make sure you get people to pop round and check in on you once in a while and don't forget to eat occasionally.

I managed to unblock my toilet today.
It had backed up with 3 days of solids. I was worried. Several large buckets of hot water later and it cleared.

More Freesync gaming (1070Ti). If I knew how cool variable refresh rate was, I would buy a G-sync monitor or AMD card long time ago.

In the market for one of these myself, although mine only needs to be about 5ft wide as it will be fitted to a bike store.
If you don't mind saying, could you give a ball park price please. Did you use a local firm or a national one?

It's a Rollerdor RD55, you can buy the kit for self installation for less than £500 :-

https://www.rollerdor.net/shop/category/garage-doors/diy-roller-garage-doors

I'd seen quotes around from £1200 to £1500 on average for fitted, the company that was going to do mine fucked me about for weeks, so my contractor found another local guy. Bit more for the ivory finish rather than white, but it cost me a grand all in.

Nice guy, neat worker, this is his site :-

https://rsgd.co.uk/

I'll be removing the Deadman's switch function so it's a one-touch rather than a press-and-hold, and wiring the remote to my high beam. Ride up, flash, ride in Thumbs Up Smile

Today I earned a £10 amazon voucher by doing a 30min video chat with the software developers for the Hold app. Just answered their questions about my impressions of some mock ups.

bought a voucher for Xbox live, and I earned another fiver Xbox live from Microsoft rewards, and bought the Grand Tour game. It's what I expected, nothing special, but I wouldn't have spent "real" money on it. But it's okay for basically free. Very Happy

Got enough change to rent a movie, or get an add on for something maybe.

oh and earlier today took the Enduro out for a ride, it's not been run for a month. Chain and sprocket had a bit of rust on them Embarassed

Took it for a spin down the bypass after I'd cleaned and oiled the chain, before heading into town for some shopping.

Bumped into one of the Ubeats riders I know, and he was admiring my bike, and then I laughed when he suggested i used it for Deliveroo. The child in me couldn't resist holding the clutch in and giving it max revs under the bridge. Nice day for it too.

Sadly, I doubt I'll ride it again for a month.

yeah, it's a bit marmite, if you are going to skip the video content it's lacking, it's a put it on once in a while and switch your brain off kinda game, but I quite like it. I imagine it'll get low ratings, it's just one of those oddities, a crap game that I know is a crap game and I like.

Cool story time.

A long time ago when I was a van courier I picked up a big trunk (which as it panned out was full of clothes) from some
dude in a hi viz at the City Airport. An air freight type place which used small planes. Had to take it to a residential address
in Central London near Shepherds Bush. Imagine my surprise when none other than Alan Rickman answered the door. Shocked
He came out and helped me carry it in, and explained in that rather distinctive voice of his that they were "suits" he
had sent back from set after a movie in Canada. When I pressed him on what the film was he said it was in his contract
not to talk of it until was released. He then apologised profusely and offered that he could tell me the film also had
Sigourney Weaver in it as well. Then he bunged a £20 in my hand, gave me firm handshake said "thank you ever
so much, nice to meet you" and saw me out of his house. It was a millionaires row type road, white houses with
basements flats underneath them. I thought he was a complete gent and so friendly and down to earth. A lot warmer
than his most memorable screen personas would suggest he might be. It was one of the most surreal moments
of my life when the door opened and his familiar face appeared and then broke into a big friendly smile. Tbh, I was
expecting an arab or something like that given the look of the place.
