Weed
Some random weed left by some random cunt that I might have shagged once or twice a while ago but who is not here now, and my living room is peacefully cool and calm.
* money in my pocket
* fresh sheets on the bed
* clean new clothes
* champagne, bacon and milk in the fridge
* roof over my head
* a few good chums
I've not lived this sort of life before.
I rather like it, just now.
This'll do for today.
Its more than a lot of people have got.

Today, I finally had a chance to test some of the repairs and maintenance I did recently, and I am happy with the results. 160km in the saddle.
The inner pipe inside the left silencer got loose and ratly, my mate could weld it back in = works great, no ratling! Since i had the left silencer off, I could loosen up the wheel nut and adjust the chain tension.
I also noticed, a month ago, that the rear suspension system was not set correctly, the pre-load on the left was set higher than on the right. I couldn't move the adjuster with the standard methods (*cough punch and hammer) so I got a proper c-spanner from China and with that I could set the pre-load equally on both sides = amazing road feel!
I also fixed the fuel tank mounts, the tank is seated properly now.
I also flushed the carburetor, some debris/dirt came out = now there is no fuel starvation during constant high speed riding. Smooth delivery, as smooth as a single cylinder can be, with no hesitation. I went on the local highway (130 km/h limit) ran for more than half an hour at roughly that speed, no issues whatsoever.
I also fixed some dodgy turn signal connectors the previous owner put there = no more intermittent turn signal failure.
During the winter break, I'm gonna do some more cleaning, adjusting and repairing. I don't want to take it all apart now. The bike runs, the weather is perfect for me to have it locked in the garage in bits.
I enjoy riding again! ____________________ '87 Honda XBR 500, '96 Kawasaki ZX7R P1, '90 Honda CB-1, '88 Kawasaki GPz550, MZ 150 ETZ

I ordered a toilet seat on Amazon last week, but the idiots sent me completely the wrong item (a kitchen tap).
I know what you're thinking; this pillock meant to post this in the "gears ground" thread, didn't he? But...
I went back on Amazon to create a return, and clicked the appropriate button to get a refund due to 'wrong item supplied', and entered the description of what I'd received. I was instantly told "Thank you - no need to return the item; you will be refunded for the full cost you paid". Which is particularly interesting as it's a high-end tap, retailing on Amazon for £190. As it happens, for historical reasons I have an Amazon seller's account, so after a few weeks once I'm 100% sure of no possible comeback, I'm going to add my deets to that Amazon listing as an alternative supplier, for a bargain £150, say.
Oh and I reordered the toilet seat and that arrived next day ____________________ KC100->CB100N->CB250RS--------->DL650AL2->R1200RS->R1250RS |

My middle'un getting 3 'Distinction Stars' in his BTEC, which is as good as it is possible to get.
He can now stick a big middle finger up to all those who said a BTEC is for people who are too thick for A Levels, and that he'd never get enough UCAS points for university doing it that way. He has 3 conditional offers and enough points to enable him to choose any of the three.

I found some lime jelly with fruit in it and cream on top, at our work canteen.
Like trifle but without the cakey bits.

Oh wait ... yeah, and without the custard either ...
So ... nothing really like trifle, actually.
But it was still nice ____________________ Not nearly as interesting in real life. |
