I had a halfway decent chat (on video) with my sister for her birthday.
For me, this is an achievement, because she can be a most irritating person.
I wouldn't have her for a friend.

Thinking I wouldn't have my mother for a friend either Thinking

Although I would definitely have my daughter for a friend if she wasn't my daughter. Awesome bird Cool , apple doesn't fall far from the tree, etc. Wub

Anyway: families. You don't get to choose them.
Sent the little blister an orchid, she probably won't like it, but never mind.
Got that over and done with for another year.
Hopefully we'll all live to see another one Rolling Eyes

To have a family member as a friend must be lovely.

It's not so much as I wouldn't choose them as they wouldn't choose me.
Fair enough as some days I don't choose me.

My gears are oiled as I'm making some headway with the modular synth system.

Put a new foot on the daughters dryer, wired a plug, put a washing line up for the ex-wife.

I live about 100 yards from a pub with a large garden and to celebrate being open for the bank holiday, they've got a band in.

I think they might still be soundchecking, but so far we've had a spirited version of Teenage Kicks, they absolutely murdered The Chain and now we've got a badly sound mixed go at Chasing Cars, plus the drummer thinks he's Clem Burke.

But hey, it's live music, which it feels like I haven't heard in a lifetime, so it's all good Thumbs Up Very Happy
