Bike Trailer Tyre Pressures Q

Any of you use trailers much?
Do people drop the tyre pressures on bike trailers when they're not carrying anything to stop them bouncing about as much?
What are recommended pressures for 10" "Mini " type wheels, loaded and unlaoded?

From what I read 40-50psi is standard always just left the same either loaded or not

I always have mine at about 45, that's an Erde PM310 with 400x10" wheels

Looks like Erde recommend 50PSI for all their 10" wheel'd trailers so as above, 40-50 should be fine.

Yep mine can bounce a good foot in the air over rough surfaces and pot holes when unloaded, it's just what they do. Rock steady when a bike is on there.

Well the trailer didn't bounce about too much in the end but there's a weird vibration over 50MPH. It sort of comes and goes.....4 seconds vibrating followed by 2 seconds where it's not. Feels a bit like I'm riding over a rumble strip. Not sure if it's the wheels, air flow, or something in the cars electronics, ABS maybe?....it's a bit disconcerting though Confused

Are the trailer wheel bearings OK? (and the car ones for that matter)

When I tow a small box trailer I get a rumble at 30 mph. This is a resonance that causes the tow hitch to rattle, right at the fecking speed you don't want it. Try some grease on the ball, or even a plastic bag

Cheers, just got the bike to it's final destination so can take it off the trailer and have a closer look at the wheels etc, will check the ball too Thumbs Up
