 |
|
Hello,
I know there are some very talented and experienced photographers on BCF and I could do with your input. My Dad has picked a photo I took a while back as one that he would like printed up, probably on canvas.
I have a couple of favours to ask, I know it's not the sharpest picture, so what size would be the biggest it could go before looking terrible? Also, can anything be done to make it look better (photoshop stuff etc?)
Also, can anyone recommend a place to get it printed?
I've included a couple of versions, one is the untouched version, the other slightly tweaked by me, admittedly not really knowing much about this.

I can't comment on max size as I cannot open the link on my work lappy.
But I imagine the quality could be improved further in Lightroom / Photoshop before it's printed out canvas. The exposure to me looks like it would benefit from a good bump.
As for "where"
The Framed Picture Company have been brilliant for the canvas work I've wanted printed. Excellent price and quality I have no hesitation in recommending them.

canvas, I use hotprintz, cant fault them

as for res, the higher the batter, a lot will depend on the size you want.
did you shoot the shot raw or Jpeg? please say raw, its a lot easier to work with. it you can send me over the original I will have a go at running some corrections, but can't make any promises. ____________________ Current rides - 2016 Triumph Street Triple Rx, 1994 Suzuki Bandit 400 VM, TGB 204 Classic 125cc

The image I took off dropbox says 3668x2444 pixels, which at the normal print resolution of 300dpi is around 12"X 9" but you could go bigger on a canvas as they dont tend to be overly sharp. Is the original bigger? NIce picture though, I like the context.
Its a good picture, Im in the middle of uploading some photos for someone but I took 20 seconds out to do this...
