Hi,
done a search in here & a few other places but didnt find out much & besides, im pretty sure someone in here will know what in talking about.

Im thinking of fitting a Honda CR 125 top end onto a Honda NSR 125.
my reasons are irrelevant really, I just want to know about compatibility.

Im thinking I could use the cylinder head, cylinder, piston, small end bearing etc
is there any particular models/years I should look for? or what should I avoid?
In guessing the rc valve from the nsr fits the cr? I wouldnt want to run without the power valve, or with it pinned. I'd have to go everywhere at 14000rpm!
& besides, that would be pointless on a road going bike, I want the extra torque & bhp Smile (especially lower down in throttle openings/revs)

using the cr cylinder would mean I could also fit the bigger manifold & carb (38mm?) from the cr Smile

anyone have experience of doing this?
if it cant be done, tell me why? dont they have the same bore & stroke? just ported differently?

any info will be gratefully received, apart from "dont do it, it will cost you a fortune" cr parts are cheaper & readily available from the usa (used), whereas nsr top ends are getting hard to find. (even new, hence the price hike from davidsilver) or "buy a bigger bike" I have a bigger bike.
I just want a new project, something I can play around with this winter..

cheers,
GAZ
