Hi guys,

Recently got a go pro hero 3+

Want to shoot some videos on my CBR and was thinking of getting a helmet mount for it, can anyone recommend a good helmet mount just something that is secure. Links will be much appreciated

Second hand rather than new I assume since it comes with everything in the box that you'd need to get it up and running.. £20 all sort that.

The curved stick on mount on the side with a long and a short arm to bring the gopro 90 degrees. Have faith in the 3m sticky pads, I've gone well into 3 figures and it hasn't budged. I've also removed them from helmet and no damage

No, out the box is everything you need. You put the curved sticky mount on the helmet and then the 3 way pivot arm into that, and then enjoy the fun and games of attempting to get the camera to record straight video and a decent viewing point.

Tip: Don't think because the camera is straight that the video will be, connect it to the app and test it out and move it around a lot, my camera leans towards my helmet at a curve and the footage is straight.. don't ask.

The above is an example, on the right is how the camera should look (tighten all the screws by hand and then a little more with the screwdriver when you'll finally got a good angle) of the helmet (not as straight) and then on the left one option for mounting it to a helmet.

On a regular full face lid I go with right hand side just before the visor, test some angles out before you stick the pad down they're a bugger to get off and as far as I'm aware not restickable more than once.

Aye polio can leave you with one leg a bit shorter than the other.
If you were to wear a surgical shoe with a built up sole/heel to correct the short limb your footage may appear squinty.

As NJD said, the best place to mount would indeed be the side of the helmet - Be prepared for strange looks from passing motorists though Laughing

Use a hair dryer to warm it up, just peels off.
