Hello, I'm new here. 20 years old. Recently passed my cbt on geared bike and have full car license. Kinda struggling to decide what kind of bike to get.. Currently my budget is around 2000 and was thinking of yzf 125 but not sure if its worth it or should i rather get my DAS done?

A2 licence. Bandit, Fazer, SV650 or any bike from this list would be what I would do. https://www.bikechatforums.com/viewtopic.php?t=281627

Please don't be another fake account Praying

Sounds like a plan, when DAS is possible and affordable it's always the way Thumbs Up

Hmm, just wondering if it wont be too hard to pass A2 without any riding experience?

DAS then Harley Davidson Road King.

Self-cancelling indicators FTW!

Do your A2 - Get something cheap and happy like gpz500, then spend the money you've saved from that on your A licence (when you're 22 I think - minimum 2 years on A2?) and get a busa and kill kittens.

Won't it be hard doing A2 as I have no riding experience?

No, it's the best way to do it because you don't have any bad habits to correct to a training school you're the ideal blank canvas pupil as everything they tell you you'll follow and wont know any different making their job x1000 easier than someone who may struggle to correct bad habits or even worse not know they've got bad habits.

Just to confirm bad habits is a term used to describe riding in a way of which the training schools or DSA examiner would deem "not the correct" way, their opinion.

Don't get ahead of yourself mind, do your CBT and see if you actually like bikes see how you get on during the road ride and see how you feel by the end of the day. If all is well at the end of the day then email or phone the school after finishing (or the next day) and make plans to get the ball rolling on your DAS training. Word of advice, don't book Module 2 directly after Module 1, wait until you've got the Module 1 pass certificate in your hand before you book Module 2.

Honestly if you can ride a 125 then something with more power is easier, ok it's a step up and needs adjustment in the weight and power but teaches you a new level of respect for the bike, makes everything far easier and does the work for you rather than needing to be ragged around at full throttle to get going.

Don't think about it and get out there and enjoy it all Thumbs Up

And a CBT.

https://www.safedrivingforlife.info/shop/product/official-dvsa-theory-test-motorcyclists-pack-2015-edition

You can start training before but wouldn't make sense as you could fail your theory and may not have a chance to retake before your Module 1 came around.

CBT > Theory > Contact training school and book DAS Thumbs Up

Do your A2.

You'll be bored of an R125 in a matter of days Laughing
