New to biking, looking for tips, advice, meets.

Hello All,

I'm 29, new to biking, hadn't even sat on a bike until April this year. Got my full license a month ago and bought a 2006 Bandit GSF650 a couple of weeks ago.

I just wondered what tips, advice etc you would give to someone that's just starting out. I occasionally ride to work but mainly evenings and weekends.

I'm also wondering if there's any clubs or meets local to me. I live between Hinckley and Coalville in Leicestershire.

O/H is a member of a dozen others, but gawd knows what!! Have a hunt. Plenty of meet-ups and inpromptu ride-outs happening, all the while.

But depends what you want to get into, and how active / involved you want to get. I'm t'other side o'Wattlin' St to you; 'the great divide' .. y'know just outside the Dane-Law but sitting on the boarder between East & West, Norf an Sa'rf, we have access to all points beyond really... Can do the Cat & fiddle on a Bank-Hol Sunday, & Ponderosa & Horse-Shoe on the Monday, if you want!!
