Hi everyone,

I have a 1991 kmx. Was riding to work this morning and it cut out on the way.

Checked if the jets were blocked, they were clean.
Checked if I had a decent spark, was good..changed the spark for the sake of it.
Checked if fuel was getting passed though the fuel lines, it does.
Electrics seem to be all working. Anyone have any suggestions?

Don't have any knocking from the bottom end, is it possible the topend gasket has blown? Am getting compression too, piston seems to be moving freely

Have you got a compression tester?
In my opinion you can't gauge compression by kicking over a motor very well. If there's a big hole in a piston maybe yeah, but if it's a broken or stuck ring or a scored bore it'll feel like there's plenty of compression.

Have you checked for broken or chipped reed petals, assuming your carb is ok.

There's no diesel in the tank is there? Laughing
