Ok, I know this is BCF and therefore I need to woman up and stop being a sap. However, I live at home with the parents and we used to own a rabbit (a few consecutive rabbits). My parents have made it clear that they don't want a pet as they don't want the responsibility of looking after it. So, I would love a rabbit but question is, do I buy one?!

What would you do?

(i will be keeping it in my room- if i get one)

I'm a no for indoor rabbits.

Well rabbits in general. Bought my daughter a bunny, which was hers whilst it was a bunny. When it became a rabbit and wasn't cuddly wuddly - it became my rabbit.

No more rabbits. Mad

IMO they can be rather noisy. You might want to keep it in the shed. Especially if, like mine, it's a two-stroke.

I got one a few weeks ago, when we were on holiday, it came with roast potatos and fresh veg, lots of bones but still, reasonably, tasty!

I'd blame the cook, it probably needed warming in the oven first...

What do you want it to do?

In my experience, rabbits can have very variable temperaments and they range from extremely docile to absolutely batshit mental and vicious.

At the behest of my second wife, we bought a pair of kits from the same litter, which seemed to be living in total harmony - within a few days, they were chasing each other round the room at a thousand miles an hour, shitting everywhere and fighting as soon as they got near enough to each other.

While this was going on, they liked to chew things - furniture, clothes, electric cables, you name it.

One very quickly outgrew the other and bullied the smaller one; one day, I got a very distressing call from my wife, asking me to come home urgently, as she'd tried to break up a fight and ended up getting a badly bitten hand, so I was needed to take her to hospital.

We tried to keep them apart, but eventually the smaller one was so badly attacked, it died of it's injuries.

They looked so cute when we bought them.................

I've another story about the rabbits my Brother bought for his kids, if you want to hear it

Serious advice is serious for a second. Parent's house, parents rules.

If you want a rabbit, move out into your place and get one. Thumbs Up
