Mods, my bad, meant to post in "What have you done on your bike today" please move, ta.
Easy job on a bike rarely used, I just like having it and keeping it maintained.
On dismantling the forks I find the left side fork spring has been fitted upside down, on the ES 7 models the close coils of the springs should be at the bottom, Brazilian quality control ?
Oil was low in both forks by at least 10cc, new oil seals and dust seals and Putoline 10W fully synthetic fork oil installed.
Check picture of original oil seal, it's in a poor state, both seals were in similar condition, old oil was reasonably clean.
Pic 1, paint damage and gouging on the fork tube caused by previous owner using unprotected\insecure spring clip L plate mount, I will deal with the paint finish later.

Doesn't it give one satisfaction to know that a task as important as this has been carried out, and will not have to be touched for a few years? ____________________ CBT: 12/06/10, Theory: 22/09/10, Module 1: 09/11/10, Module 2: 19/01/11
