Basically the lug snapped off my old side panel which meant it was lost whilst riding. So I've had to get another obviously to replace it however this has come in white.
All I'm after is someone that can do a good enough paint job on it to match the bike. I've asked one company local and they are asking £90 which is crazy imo.
Example image so you can see the part that I want to get painted below. Don't fancy doing it myself; So any recommendations

Doesn't seem that crazy to me; couple of hours labour, base coat, lacquer, various other materials and their wealth of expertise...... ____________________ Things get better with age; I'm close to being magnificent........

£90 isn't unreasonable to be fair, it's not 'cheap' but is in the region of what I'd expect a bodyshop to charge - has to be worth their while at the end of the day.
Even if you don't require it to be 'perfect', they can't take short cuts and say 'here you go mate, it's shit', they've got to do a proper job and charge for it.
Can see your dilemma though in that it is a lot of money for what you want doing. If I was you I'd set a couple of hours aside and spend £15 on materials to have a go at it yourself.
It's only a small panel and (genuinely don't mean to offend here) the rest of the bike doesn't appear to be in showroom condition anyway, you could easily do the panel yourself in your own spare time to a standard you'd be plenty happy with ____________________ Current Bikes / Projects: 1999 Rieju RS1 50

Could always ask paintpot here on BCF. Work on his sons GSXR and that R1 tank looked great, I'm sure that side panel would be a doddel for him... Although u may get it back in fluorescent colours with Rossi's face sprayed all over it |

90 notes for that is V cheap. I'd even be suspicious
I dropped my K-Bike and pinned the side panel to the gravel drive. (Distraught doesn't cover it.)
The very nice man at BMW re-sprayed the panel for about £130.
But a perfect, perfect match.
Count the labour rate and material.
More than £50 just for the 1/2L tin of base-coat. Then you have lacquer and a tube of elbow grease
I use these folk for paint. Maybe cheaper suppliers but as an example.

Carp diem and get your Pannerators done the same colour. |

Rattle can job is easy for a small panel like that, unless you want perfection.
But! Big, feck-off red panniers on a silver bike? So why is the side panel colour so important? ____________________ Chickenystripgeezer's Biking Life (Latest update 19/10/18) Belgium, France, Italy, Austria tour 2016 Picos de Europa, Pyrenees and French Alps tour 2017 Scotland Trip 1, now with BONUS FEATURE edit, 5/10/19, on page 2 Scotland Trip 2 Luxembourg, Black Forest, Switzerland, Vosges Trip 2017

Just to give you another option if you really don't want to have a go at it yourself, if you want to post it to me I'll do it for £40. Got a lot on at the moment so could be about a week before I got it back to you but options there if you want it. ____________________ Current Bikes / Projects: 1999 Rieju RS1 50

Hi Smiler,
I have a friend who works in a paint shop and also has a bike, I asked him about getting paint for mine and he recommend these.
https://www.rsbikepaint.com/en-gb/colours.php
He reckons they match paint better than the sprayers can.
Haven't tried them myself but I trust his judgement. ____________________ Proud owner of an R6 + ZXR400
