Guys, gals, travellers...

I've been reading (for what seems to have been the past six months) all the articles about using your bike to see the world in the Bike magazines and other media.

So, I'm thinking about doing a small trip - probably France or Belgium - next year, maybe only a long weekend or something on the Fazer.

But, being the tart that I am, I'd like to fit a couple of Panniers (solid ones) and a top box to carry my (and maybe the better half's, if she's ventured onto the pillion seat by then!) gear.

What I want to know is, can you get proper solid panniers for an 04 model Fazer.

And before you all say it, yes, I'm being a lazy bastard by not going to google myself, but though some of you knowledgable peeps might know off hand.

Also, anyone done a small amount of travelling and could give any tips. I know there has been other threads along these lines recently, but its a thought that has been in my head for a while.

Thanks in advance
Adam (Fed up of the non-exhistent summer in the UK this year!) Smile

Check out givi's website, or contact them direct.

They do a rail, which will fit to your bike and hold top-box and panniers, solid.

They can tell you if they do one for your bike, and then you can pay their expensive prices, or go look on ebay.

Other people do similar things, but the names escape me.

Look on Ebay for luggage, and you may get some more names.

shade will have answered the pannier bit.
.
i would say dont be afraid of travelling abroad its a great craic..

if only going for weekend, dont overstretch yourself..plan along the lines of a weeeknd trip in uk and what you are comfortable with.mileage wise etc

there are a lot of great roads not far from the coast, book a venue (some have garages as well) and then you can unload luggage for a day and enjoy.

have fun
