Hi all...
yesterday while relaxing with the children some idiot decided to reverse into my bike! (There was no need for her to reverse as there was plenty of room in front and behind her!) Upon a quick look i didnt see any damage but after going out a 2nd time i noticed my side stand has been bent forwards (it was on side stand at time of accident).
can anyone tell me how easy it is to take a side stand off and also will the bike cut out due to the kill switch? I will get a replacement but in mean time i will need for work on monday!.
Also is the stand made in such a way that the frame of the bike would be undamaged?
Any help would be fantastic.

The side stand is normally hinged on a lug welded to the frame. So yes it is possible to damage the frame. Even sitting on the bike when on the side stand can bend the lug.
It can be straightened though using the old stand (if you are going to replace it) Or just keep the old one on after straightening.

You will need to find out haw the interlock switch cuts the ignition. The wires probably need to be connected together to run.
