As a thought, do you want to meet earlier than 7?? As it takes 1hr 20 mins to get there.

Also, how many runs do you normally get? It says unlimited, but I can't spend all day there as I have a very busy Saturday. Probably going to spend morning and a few hours in the afternoon there

Have fun boys!

I used to go to RWYB 30 (yes you read that right) years ago in American muscle cars.

Camping of course and I'll never recover from using those trench toilets they used to have. "Never look down." was the advice back then.

Once won a trophy for fastest truck (in a 1971 Ranchero Pick Up) like this....

https://momentcar.com/images/ford-ranchero-1971-5.jpg

It had a 429ci V8 and despite that was as slow as anything.

However the only other competitor in the truck class that day was a 1959 Chevrolet which blew up on the start line. Yay!

Which all goes to show, it all depends on who turns up and what happens on the day!

Wish we could be there to watch.

Right, for those of us who are still going Wink

I will meet you just after you come off the M1 at Junct 14. Google maps link https://goo.gl/BBaM3N

https://i1077.photobucket.com/albums/w462/MattB70/map_zps30wcvnub.jpg

Come off at 14 and take the 3rd exit at the roundabout - A509 towards Newport Pagnell. A few hundred yards down that road is a layby on the left, opposite the turning for Cranfield Airport.

If you leave the Ace just after 7* you should be there at 8. Santa Pod is just under half an hour from there Thumbs Up

*All timings are approximate and subject to change, because BCF.

Looking more likely to be able to go than the other day, call it 70% yes.

Tempted to remove my luggage rack and fit the pillion seat cover for extra aerodynamic efficiency Laughing

Did a perfect pull away from some traffic lights the other day, needle just into the v-tec zone as the clutch came out, if I can nail that on the day I stand half a chance of doing something respectable.

Perhaps so, but it would need to go back on the Sunday anyway, a bit of a waste of time!

If the limiting factor is Aerodynamics I'll quit my day job and take up drag racing as a career Laughing

If my insides stop trying to escape via various orifices AND I get out of bed at 5am on a Saturday!!! (WTF!!). Then I will attempt to come and embarrass myself and the entire biking community.

Should be good Smile

I won't be attending Sad

Been out to check my bike over, extend the wheelbase and found the chain to be right on it's length limit. Pretty gutted and bloody annoyed I didn't think to check it sooner but there you go I haven't time to find another DRZ530 and I ain't risking my engine cases (not to mention my life) drag-racing on a worn out chain.

So have fun Sad

That's a shame, was quite looking forward to having my time obliterated Laughing

For the rest of us, is it Me, Carvel, Doovy and Bishbash meeting at the Ace? Pigeon?

Then meeting Matt B off the M1?

Annoyingly it opens at 7, I was hoping to arrive a bit early and start the day with an Ace breakfast, but I think that will knock us off schedule by a fair bit if we do that from 7.

I think that would throw timings way off. Especially as we have to reg at Santa Pod and no idea how busy it might be.

I will join you guys!!

Which route are you going up? M1? I may go to junction 14 and meet you all with Matt B.

You say you're going to be there at 8am Matt?

EDIT: Actually screw that. Going south to the M1, then North to Santa Pod will be very uneconomical! I'll meet you guys at the Santa Pod gate at 8:30ish??
