Has to be idiot proof to download.

I prefer Libre Office (a fork of open office, very similar and compatible) but if you really want MS office then you can buy a license key on eBay which comes with the download link for under a tenner. I've used loads of those recently, only one failed to activate and the seller immediately provided an alternative key that worked. Perfectly legal.

What kind of office work are we talking about here? Libre Office will handle pretty much everything the MS counterpart would.

I use MS Office 2007 and have the latest MS Office in the work. I can't tell the difference.
