hey guys i am new to this forum and new to biking as well.

i just wanted to know what bike would be suitable for me. im 6" 2', 16 years old and i want a fast bike.

i was looking at the zxr400 is this a good bike for me?

also what does insurance cost for a young gun like me, hopefully not to much.

i figure that with the high gas prices i will get a cheap way of transportation and be able to ride with my own style but i need some info first before i jump into it.

later

they are some of the smallest bikes around so you could likely have trouble fitting on one, i suggest having a go on someone elses before you decide on one.

no idea what US in urance is like, but aged 16 in the UK you wouldnt be able to ride one, and couldnt ride an unrestricted one untill 19 at the very earliest. insurance aged 19 would be around £500 ($900)

Try looking at bikes with taller seat heights such as,
Suzuki's SV650, Kawasaki ER 500 or Yamaha Fazer 600.

Or if you want a 400 for insurance reasons
Try looking at
Ducati 400ss, Honda 400BROS or Suzuki 400 Bandit

Most 400 sports bikes are on the small side though.
So being tall can be unfortunate.

I guess as you mentioned gas you're from over the pond, in England (where the majority of BCF members are situated) we are restricted to 50cc at 16, approximately 15bhp as a learner on a bike, then 33bhp after passing a test for 2 years if under 21. if you are looking at the bigger bikes, its probably a good idea to post this question in the General Chat section, and also have a nose round with the search feature as bike recommendations are pretty common threads.
Cheers
Rich
