I did read that before, but was still concerned about it on a bike as opposed to a car. I'll trust you, worse thing that can happen is I get pulled over and slapped on the wrist, maybe. |

I'm sure if you are determined you can use a trailer.
The thing you need to consider is: Modificating your frame to fit a tow hitch lighting, number plate and whether your bike has the mustard to tow it at motorway speed.
You would be limited to 60 mph and not allowed to use the lane of a motorway nearest the centre. Not an issue unless you get stuck behind some dopey cnut camped in the middle lane doing 55. With a stack of HGVs trying to get past.
If you did manage then it's a cool way to carry all your shite and the m/bike.
Look on ebay or MAGs website There are a lot of guys who take trikes and bikes with trailers.
The maximum permitted load you can carry is listed in the OEM specification. It is not that much. Two passengers and and some light luggage is not far short of the max payload 232kg for my 1300 bike ____________________ Disclaimer: The comments above may be predicted text and not necessarily the opinion of MCN. |

What in God's name for Hooring Fuck does that monstrosity look like?
I wouldn't give a ticket for that but a hard slap round the back of the legs would be in order.
That is just people over-thinking the solution to a problem.
Smacks of Amerikano, 'Look what I made in my shop/garage.'
I saw a load of photos of an extra fuel tank some murican fitted to his BMW R1200GS. It held about 25lts. He cut open the main tank and fitted another fuel feed/return manifold too.
The issue with an extra tank to increase range is that you will be ready for a pish after 250 miles. So just fill up.
Unless this dude was into extreme green-lane-ing in 1st gear.
