Hi, any help from you guys would be greatly appreciated. I am stumped to what is going on with my bike. It's a 08 zzr600 with only 4100 miles. In every gear it bogs down like I'm running out of fuel at 4500-5000rpms. It just kind of starts jumping. its hard to crank now and won't even crank with the choke on as I usually do it. If I'm in neutral it will rev all the way to red line just fine. Here's what all happen before this started out of no where!... I dropped my bike(nothing bad by any means) it scratched my cowlings or fairings, blinker, and stator cover. I replaced the stator cover with a new one, then dropped it off at a body shop to have the cowlings sanded, and repainted. After I picked it up from the shop it was doing this. Absolutely nothing mechanical was done besides putting a new stator cover on. Now I did notice that when I filled the oil up that I put too much in so I drained that out after I got home hoping that was it but it continues to do it. I'm stumped and I won't my bike to run right again. I've read a lot of people on other post suggesting carbs need to be clean with issues like this, but I would think this wouldn't be the problem with only 4,000 miles on my bike and it's never done this before. I know this has to be something simple. Maybe the body shop unplugged something? Maybe the air flow from the font of bike is hindered from something they did when they took it off? I don't know.. Please help!

Not enough fuel when you open the throttle under load.
At idle the engine will spin to max. RPM but when loaded the fuel flow the carbs is to low to maintain power.

Maybe dirt in the supply line to the carbs, fuel filter/screen blocked. Possibly if tank was removed and shit got in.

Have you tried any of the Kwaker forums?

The tank wasn't removed, maybe it's the fuel filter or something clogging the lines. It's just fm funny that is wasn't doing it at all and then it was doing it. I haven't tried that forum. I'll give it a try in a bit.

Sounds like the 'ram air' tubes have been dislodged from the air-box when fitting the front fairing.

The air tubes may make sense... How do I fix that?

Take the tank off and check they are routed properly, both to the nose of the bike and into the airbox.

Are you American per chance? If you are, your version of a ZZR will differ to ours.

The Ram Air tubing/pipework will still be a good place to start.
