are they any good? are they as fast as the NSR? unbiased opinions would be helpful, especially from people who have owned one.
Thanks

not very heavy at all... my mate had an unfaired one which I could pick up and carry round (off both wheels)... never rode it though.

Hi

The old RG125 weighs nothing at all, and managed to do about 80mph restricted. However, the NSR should still take it (assuming both are just derestricted)

All the best

Smile they are both d restricted. he got his 4 a 100 quid in pieces which i think is resonable considering it's complete.

Just about any RG125 was derestricted. I cannot remember how they were restricted now, but I think it was a very easy thing to reverse

For £100 complete it sounds well worthwhile

All the best

The restricter was in the front of the exaust pipe in the form of a washer, it wasnt welded or anything, just pull it out.
However i read in BIKE magazine that later ones needed a different ignition igniter? & is very expensive to derestrict.

i just bought a japanese import rg125 fun 1994. had a front end smash, top fairing bracket knackered, break light switch fell off, front brake lever snapped, top fairing cracked.

managed to aroldite the fairing back with welding strip. easily managed to buy most parts second hand apart from the fairing bracket (at fowlers in bristol its £120 new).

the import models are full power derestricted arnt they?

Hi

Not sure what the Japanese market rules would be, but it would surprise me if it was restricted like the UK market ones. However a limit in the 20~30hp range might apply (250s were restricted to 45hp, not sure if there was a seperate limit for smaller bikes).

All the best

Keith

i checked on a website the other day for the particulars of an RG125.

It sayed the bike was 33BHP. Not sure how true that is.

My girfriend works down the SVA centre so i'll blag a test on mine when its running see if it is 33BHP.
