.....I feel like I could touch the sky! Very Happy Very Happy Very Happy

I'm just back from being on a nice long run today and I'm still buzzing from it!!!

I was overtaking, filtering, nodding to other bikers, red-lining the bike and generally just having a sooper dooper, fantastic, really enjoyable ride!!! Very Happy Very Happy Very Happy I was managing to take some corners at about 50mph (where just last week I was taking the same ones at about 25mph Shocked ) and I was getting down quite low when taking them. Getting down really low is quite a natural thing isn't it!!! I did wish I had a bit more power behind my ass mind you when overtaking a few people, but I guess I'll just have to wait until I get a bigger bike for that extra power!!!

The heavens opened when I was only 15 minutes out of the door mind you, but that just gave me an excuse to stop at the local biker's pub for a pint and I really did feel like a biker!! Very Happy I was nervous when I was leaving the pub though, 'cause the road's right at the front of the beer garden bitty where all the REAL BIKERS sit!!!! I was scared I was going to stall or something, but I didn't and I was really chuffed with myself, grinning the whole way up the road!! Mr. Green

I now feel like going back out again - I love being on a bike, it's the most wonderful feeling ever!!!!!! Thumbs Up Karma Thumbs Up

As if I hadn't written enough above, I've just remembered I didn't share my police part of the story. Police

Here I am doing about 70mph in a 50 (on the express-way) Tut Tut when I peek in my mirrors and the coppers are behind me flashing there lights and their blue lights were on F*CK I thought, I'm for it!!!! There's no hard shoulder on the express way and I was in the outside lane and there's loads of traffic on the inside lane, so I indicate right and slow right down nearly to a halt, thinking to myself sh*t, sh*t, sh*t!!!! And they drive on past me - phewwwww!!!! That was a close one!!! Doh! Mr. Green

Wow, sounds like you've got the hang of it no problem. Good on you! Thumbs Up Sound very confident indeed. Weather is pretty good over this part of the country. Glasgow end usually rains I've noticed. Good to see you've got some decent weather for it too.

Sounds like I'll have to try keeping up with you then when we all meet up. Wink

All good with the fun and stuff. But dont let it go to your head.

You are right about redlining and stuff. Lol, I "killed" my bike today. It's all about the red stuff. Smile

The Carbeth Inn - it's on the road out to Drymen!! If you go over the express-way and come off at Anniesland, just go straight up Crow Road heading for Bearsden, then at the big roundabout just past Canniesburn Hospital, take a left and then follow the signs for Dryme, it's on the left hand side of the road about 7 or 8 miles from Bearsden!!!

Me and my other half go up there for an hour or so most Sunday evenings, so if you fancy it let us know and we can meet you roundabout Anniesland way!! Thumbs Up
