Selling my first bike

So I passed my bike test a few weeks ago and I've decided to sell my xr125 when I get back from work next week. I got it free from a friend as it had been sat for 2 years in an old damp church, it didn't really need much doing for its mot; chain, sprockets, new battery, Rewire indicators, new headlight bulb and a horn, I gave it a service and apart from being 'fiddly' to start when cold once it's warmed up it runs very well. It looks a bit tatty though, rust on the rims and spokes which it got its only advisory for and rust on the tank where the seat has rubbed the paint off in the past.

I don't know much about its history before my mate bought it but I wonder if it might have been stolen or badly crashed in the past as on the v5 it says it's red but the only thing red is the seat and all the plastics/tank are black. It also has an after market ignition and because of this the steering lock doesn't work and the key doesn't match the original fuel cap. It does open the cap eventually but I was worried the key would snap so I just got a cheap plastic screw cap instead.

As I got it for free I'm not sure how much to ask, I thought I would put it up for £700 on gumtree and see if it gets any interest. Do you think that is too much and would the ignition switch/steering lock/colour discrepancy on v5 put you off buying a bike? Also, is there a free way I can check its history to make sure it's not been written off or stolen in the past? I don't really want to mislead any buyers if I can help it.
