Hi Guys

My name is Tiaan, and I need some help.

I have recently acquired a Lifan 200 GY. It was used and, it's turning out to be a POS.

I hopped down a curb (not a very high one) and heard a pop. Stopped and saw the top rear engine mounting bolt snapped off. Nursed it home and found the bottom (rear) one to be gone as well.

The top one that came out seemed to be a piece of threaded rod with a bolt at each end, fairly sure it was not factory fitted. Never saw the bottom one break.

Please help, I can replace both with tempered bolts but I have a feeling that these two bolts snapping of is being caused by something else. Any advice?

Thanks Raffels. It seems like a high tensile replacement with some High temp silicone is the way to go from what their saying.

I can't see a reason not to try it, worst case it snaps the mount?

Well bolts are in.

I used 1. 240mm X 10mm (Top Rear)
2. 120mm X 10mm (Bottom rear)

Both of the above tempered (Grade 8)

I also used Heat resistant silicone to take up the extra width of the "tunnel"

Not sure it's going to work but initial test drive was surprising. The reduction in vibration and "feel" very much improved. This leads me to believe that the bottom one was out for some time. I'll keep an eye on them and let you guys know if something gives.

Thanks again for the link Raffels.
