If the plug is black it is probably running rich.
More than likely that the air screw has been wrongly adjusted.
Identify the airscrew, count how many turns out it is now.
If you want to get more air into the mixture you need to adjust this screw one way or the other.
You will be able to hear when the engine runs better.
If you can't find the correct settongs, on the web or in a manual, you will need to keep checking the plug colour until you get the correct colour. ____________________ "Everybody needs money, that's why they call it money!"  |

I think a Plug Chop is needed.
Some snow machine dood has explained it here.
It needs a new plug, somewhere 'safe' to give the engine a hammering then kill the engine and whip the new plug out for inspection.
